So I'm confused now. I managed to scrape together 31 greenbacks, since my little people were generous today.... But I was under the impression that if you franchise a business somewhere else for green bucks, you earn green bucks every time you check in. So I found some cheapy, remote business, used all my population, and franchised it for my 30 bucks, then finished it with last one. But I only get coins :(

Then, Candyland kicked in, and totally made my week :D!!!

But is there any way to earn them, once you're at level 50, or do you just hope kind strangers will help you out till you can buy the Apple Store for 18K greenbacks? lol.

MaxT, I'll check out your town tomorrow. If you have level 10 businesses, I'll gift you a buck. Or if I can get my population up by 30K, I'll franchise for coins, if possible.... I can gift you population, if you prefer.

Oh yes I have fallen victim to that one before too! There should definitely be an "are you sure?" pop up when you buy anything with bucks!

So my town is coming along nicely now, thanks Rosecreek and puppetville for the franchises! It is so nice coming to this forum to see everyone else's excitement at this game, my husband thinks I am crazy! I was wondering if there is a way to see what gifts have received? I figured there would be a way to see them so I can visit the towns and give back but I don't see a way.

Anyone notice that the popularity of popular businesses such as Yankee Stadium and Disneyland are dropping?

I deleted my Yankee Stadium to refranchise it because usually it gains popularity when everyone checks-in and everything... but I noticed it dropped about 4,000 popularity. Same thing happened with several other businesses.

Hi I just saw this very useful thread today as I was searching for some mt2 info. Since it seems people who are bucks rich were helping out others with franchising I was hoping I could maybe have a few people help me out so I can get a few more bucks :) was looking to get that stadium before it disappears and I won't quite have enough on my own. Any help is appreciated

50-buck cap

From reading the last few pages of this thread, it sounds like the 50-buck cap for the franchiser is not just a fluke. So, I have 2 related questions:

1. Anyone know if the 50 bucks is the amount a franchiser receives regardless of business popularity?

2. If 'no" to #1, then does anyone know (or have an idea) of the minimum business popularity for the franchiser to receive the full 50 bucks?

By the way, I like the storage idea that's been brought up. I cleared out all my snow items to make temporary room for other stuff. Now, I have no way to get them back. I'm sure that if a storage object becomes available, it will cost a good amount of bucks. Also, since that entails at least a secondary user interface element, it's probably not high on their priority list. Unless they feel that there will be enough people willing to pay real money for it. :)

Hey, thanks a lot! I've gifted you as well. I am glad you like my town - it's definitely cool, with its various subdivisions. Ideally, I feel like this is how the game should be...having a lot of choices to build great towns that have flair, and not simply collecting all the best businesses and building a crazy amount of stock exchanges.

It's not all that hard to do...it is just a shame that Booyah has chosen to make bucks such a difficult thing to come by. I've studied the game, and there's actually 8 different ways to earn bucks, but only a few of them are really noteworthy. Stay tuned, I will be opening a thread soon to discuss various gripes about MT2. It is worth talking about in a separate arena, as this thread is more about meeting each other and communal bonding.

Right now, anyone who likes what they see in my town and wants to gift me some population, to further my development post land addition, that would be terrific. I'm pretty much totally out of land at this point, with enough for 2 more businesses. May move some stuff around. Thanks for supporting the genuine designers!
