100 billion! That is awesome. I just made my first billion, and I thought I was rich.

So i guess my 58 million coins is not enough for the next update....back to more stock exchange an ugly buildings.

Thanks for all the gifts i always try to send one back.

cAndy Land what can i say you are awesome i can never thank you enough for helping me built my town.

Pekman! So good to see you posting, and thank you for the recent gift. You are on my gift list but give me a few days, since as you said the 5 daily gifts are hardly sufficient, especially when you have to return upwards of 20 gifts.

Wanted to shed some light on a couple things.

1. So how much does it cost to buy the last piece of land? 2,100,000 coins is the current correct answer, so for those of you who have yet to expand all the way, bear that in mind.

2. How many coins do you really need? Or put another way, when can you delete all those ugly stock exchanges? I have thought about this and concluded that at 300 million coins, you're probably set for life, so to speak. Remember, even post exchanges you will always be generating income.

Under the current map, I think the cost of buying out all land is something like 17.5 million. Might even be less, have not done the math. Assuming new land plots start at like 2.5 million, and that we get 15 plots with a half million bump per plot, the amount to buy all this new land would be 90 million. Assuming Booyah does 9x9 instead of 8x8, add another 200 million in land fees, and there you have it.

I stopped at 100 billion personally, but I think that was excessive. I wanted to see how far I could go, moving up from 40 stock exchanges to 75. Stopped after a day and deleted all but one; it was just too insane and once the number became so large that it was cut off the screen, enough was enough. So in summation I wouldn't get *too* worked up about earning a gazillion coins.

Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day folks!

My current coin count is 101,933,064,...

The three dots show up because the last three digits do not even fit on the screen.

It really isn't that hard to do, guys. If you consider that the stock exchanges give a 20% bonus, then 75 exchanges are 700% better than 40 exchanges, right? What a lot of players fail to realize is that the 20% becomes incrementally more lucrative as the profits go up. 5-10 exchanges is exciting but once you are above 50 you are simply on another playing level.

When all your buildings together are producing 3.7 billion every 3 minutes, it is pretty sick but it quickly becomes unfun.

I think members like MT2 Billionaire made it into the trillions. To me, all that clutter with the exchanges just took away from design space and time.

It seems that booyah's motto is "one for you three for me"

Still haven't seen Cupid in my town but have spotted him in other towns. Purchased modern villa but no man with monocle but I did move my turkey farm to the road and my wandering turkey and pilgrim came back hanks to who ever mention the road thing.

As far as "more levels coming soon" (MLCS for short) Was it yarngoddes who saw it? Not to stop you from dancing but you probably hit the level button by accident. I've done that more then once.

On last note for the restaurant goal is it to check in to a restaurant or purchase. It was so long ago I not remember. If it's check in to one go to checkins and stroll down to other biz. There will probably a restaurant within the area the goal is asking for.

BB or anyone, i'm thinking of selling a few of my condos to make room for more stock exchange coz i only have 17, would i loss some of my business because my population would drop?

You will not lose any existing businesses but you will not be able to buy any more until you get your population up again. If you have condos, I suggest replacing some of them with subway stations to make up the difference.

If you do happen to sell any of your existing businesses then you will also not be able to replace them until you have the correct population that will support the number of businesses.

LovePuppet, it was indeed me. I would agree with you that I had accidentally touched the screen, but I was lighting a ciggie and saw it when I put everything down and looked back up. I haven't seen it again, however. It doesn't really matter, because according to Barracuda, I was reporting old news anyway.

A side note: while these coinage amounts are indeed impressive, I'm doing it "the hard way". None of my businesses are worth much of anything because, with the exception of Facebook and one other San Francisco business, they're all small locals. The only time I cheat is when I really want something which requires more bucks than I have, at which point I buy what I need. Since the game was freeware to me, I don't mind supporting the company. I just enjoy building and rearranging things, trying to make the nicest (and most realistic, other than the Biodome) town that I can, and watching all the activity. I guess for some, acquiring all the money you can get and figuring out ways around the norm before getting shut down is a fun and competitive thing to do, but it just doesn't matter to me. It's not a matter of not being able to do it - even though I'm fairly computer illiterate, Hubster is a Sr. Software Engineer, having worked for Cisco Systems for 17 years and now working for a software security company in the Valley. I have yet to see the code he can't break and rewrite. Hence, my earlier comment about getting my hands on the source code.

Different strokes for different folks. It makes our towns go round...

I too enjoy playing the game the same way as you. Ive invested alot of time building my city. I just hope they dont raise land prices because of the way others enjoy playing. I cant compete. There should be a way to please both type of players. Id 31939551

YarnGoddess: Thanks for confirming receipt of my gift of peeps. Screen going blank happens to me at least twice a day. I try to avoid it by closing my game after 30 minutes, but sometimes it doesn't work anyway. Thanks (I wish I could find a bowing smiley emoticon--I'd use it like crazy!)

I know I'm obsessing but I bought a second Cupid Fountain; it's in the process of being built.

I'm amused (in a nice way) at sportsdevon, CjWaggs with your first billion and Barracuda Bay with 100(!) Billion and others too. Billions...of...coins....boggles my mind! Well, in real life, a millionaire is good, but to be truly rich, one has to be a billionaire, nowadays.

I resisted buying loads of Stock Exchanges because I was playing the "slow" way. But after reading this forum, I gave in and eventually ended up buying 20. I need to keep some open space so I can move my town pieces around. And it is boring having the SE and offices dominating the town.

Agreeing with Barracuda Bay on the cost of 7X7 land:
1st plot 730K
2nd 830K
3rd 930K
4th 1.03mm
5th 1.13mm
6th 1.23mm
7th 1.33mm
8th 1.43mm
9th 1.54mm
10th 1.65mm
11th 1.77mm
12th 1.89mm
13th 2.01mm
Grand Total 17,500,000 coins

Based on the escalating pattern of previous plots of land, I'm guesstimating 8X8 land will be in the neighborhood of 55MM (for entire 8X8).

While expensive, the cost for each plot of land is achievable. Prior to Jan 19, when the last update occurred, land cost for 7X7 was 50 BUCKS EACH.
Changing purchase to coin cost was definitely a HUGE thing for Booyah to do. They did hear and listen to its players.

However, the cynic in me wouldn't be surprised if the escalation rate is made steeper for 8X8 land; especially since Booyah is probably lurking this forum.

Pam, I totally agree. Just remember - you're competing against yourself. The game will never end for players like us because we'll be saving for years to get those last few pieces of property. ;)

BTW, love your name. I'm a Pam myself.

LOL! Licat, you're going to wind up with 50 Cupids shooting arrows at anything that moves. ;)

I tried to gift you more peeps, but I guess you can only gift once a day to the same person or something. In any event, the button was greyed out. I'll send more ASAP.

Time to get to sleep. This staying up all night sucks. Just ain't natural (like I'm natural or normal anyway).

Have a great day! :D

YarnGoddess: You're funny! I love the idea of hostile Cupids shooting arrows at everyone. No blood, just flying arrows at the residents. LOL LOL LOL!

You have a good rest.:)

Is anybody else getting miniaturized businesses like I am? About two or three weeks ago I noticed that any new business that I try to build is small compared to all the businesses I've already built. The plot of land that a business takes up is still the same as before, but the actual business building is small and the parking lot around it is big. Here's a screenshot off my iPhone 4s:

scaled.php

I drew the blue boxes in to emphasize the fact that both businesses still cover the same size/plot of land. But you see how the building is so much smaller now. I wouldn't mind if they shrunk all businesses, but I hate the size mismatch with having big and small businesses like that!

That worked. I guess I better tell them it was indeed a typo all along! ;)

I noticed the same thing today when I franchised a starbucks. I haven't had the bucks to level it up, but I assume that will increase the building size.

davidluko - image size

Are the images of your businesses staying small even after leveling up?

All of my businesses, purchased or franchised, all began tiny and then expanded in size after leveling up. It took several steps in progression to grow before getting full sized.

The building size will grow as you level up. Wish I had the amount of bucks that you have!

Lolol. I just tested this and yes, the business did get bigger as I leveled up. Has it always been this way?! Wow, I feel stupid.:)

I'll admit, I cheated. If you have a jailbroken device, you can change your bucks and coins amounts to anything you want. I use it sparingly to buy items which I would never be able to get unless I spent really money in the game (or collected the $1 a day for months/years) and still play like normal so that it doesn't take the fun out of the game.

Solsville and Dhelsdon - Creating a New Forum for MT2

Solsville and Dhelsdon:
You both are so good to create a better forum dedicated to MT2.:)

I just noticed MacRumors has different titles for the members:
macrumors newbie
macrumors member
macrumors regular

And I'm guessing those with numbers indicate the member's zip code? Like yours?
macrumors 65816

Why I commented here is because I'm now a 'regular' and was assigned by the system. Does that indicate I'm on this forum way too often? LOL!

A silly idea: Would it be possible to have amusing titles on the new forum also?
Can it be assigned based on the number of times a member logs on?
MT2 newbie
MT2 amateur
MT2 regular
MT2 pro
MT2 maniac
MT2 obsessed
others? ;)

Update talk

You know... Just reading the posts about the amounts the land in the update could *potentially* cost makes me angry. I know you guys are right. And I remember when it was 50 BUCKS and I thought "well, that game WAS fun" and I set it down and walked away from it. I was so mad. I checked it again a while later and it was after they switched it back to coins.

If booyah makes it that outrageously expensive to buy and play.... I'll stop. I am an addict. And I have a crap-load of coins banked.

But right now, I'm kind of at the bored stage anyway. I'm maxed out on levels and land. Like most of you.

I am frustrated about the popularity situation. I have enough population to buy one more biz, but I won't bc of the wonky instability of the popularity.

And I used to collect my rents/jobs fiendishly.... But now, I'm kinda dropping off on that bc there's no where for me to go with it. So, if the screw us on the costs on this update, I might be out. Ya know?

Aw5678 - I Hear You

Aw5678: I completely understand your feelings. I have two biz vacancies that I haven't filled because I'm waiting for the next update. I could be hurting or helping myself by doing so, but with how, like you say, wonky, things have been, I'm trying to keep some options open.

The most disappointing by far is the blue star stoppage. It's sad to see all those blue stars fly away. I sure hope Booyah addresses that for the many that have been on hold at level 50 for months now.

Hang in there. I'm both hopeful and apprehensive; let's see what Booyah has in store for us.

wow

wow, you guys with your coin counts! I have like 8 exchanges, and all of my businesses on 'office'. I'm banking like $30K, every three minutes.... It's boring. But I want to have a lot in the bank, to buy all of the land, and get all the businesses I want, so I think I'm going to keep getting more exchanges. If any of you jailbroken billionaires can franchise or gift green bucks, I need some, much appreciated. :D

It's funny. For those of you playing the 'slow' way, but notice your citizens, when you put all of the businesses on 'office', it seems the people get pissed off, and there's a little mob and a police officer at every building. Just noticed this. Hahahaha

As king of this little town, and yes, I do like to rule like Louis XIV (but I like to keep my people happy) :), I think it's time for some hard work and saving for a while - crack the whip!!!;)

Licat,

Yes, I'm totally hanging in there, I can't wait for the update... I have high hopes. :) I know my last post was very negative-nancy, but I do think that overall booyah has been good about mixing things up and giving us cool new goodies to play with. I hope there's a lot of that.

I'm just apprehensive about costs. And I think the only reason more and more negativity is creeping in is that more and more time is ticking by. And like you said, those blue stars are flying out the window. ;)

I hope it's worth the wait. :)

Ill franchise you

Thank you Ashley. I apoligize to everyone that tried to find me - especially Dhelsdon and Sportsdevon. I had the wrong user ID! If it wasn't for Ashley saying that I only had one town, I would have never known. My actual town name is now Samcro
My Booyah ID is 30950251 (I triple checked it!)
Let me know if you can find me know. Thanks again
