Anybody Playing My Town 2?

More discussion less begging

I've been playing since before Thanksgiving, following the blog since December. It seems the discussion about the game has stopped and there is mostly begging for bucks to the Godfathers who own unlimited amount of bucks. To me, having unlimited bucks is like playing in a God-mode and takes the fun away, but to each his/her own. Last week with the "game used on another device" bug, there was not one single comment here yet the review on the app store is rife with it. I would like to see more discussion of the aspects such as popularity of businesses for instance. My franchised Railhead Cafe went way down in the 6000s whereas the town I franchised from stayed at 25000. The people franchising from me also had their popularity stay up at 25000. I've seen a posting before but no explanation.
 
How Often?

Since ive been playing MyTown 2( around 4 weeks), ive been through such events as mayor appreciation, mount fuji, and also discounted items. At this moment i have st. patricks day event, which is due tomorrow, 17th march. Can any of you guys tell me if these events are always this regular? Ive noticed in other towns christmas trees and items associated with valentines day and wondering if these items are given away free.

Hi, I've been playing this game since early November on my iphone. I logged in every single day, managed to collect enough bucks to buy the Empire State Building but about a month ago I broke my phone. I was hoping to log into my old town once I got the new ipad but I had to start from scratch. According to Booyah there is no way to transfer a town to another device or log in with my old ID. I really love the game and will still play but if anyone can please help me out by franchising my buildings I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!


Also, sorry if I've missed this somewhere but does the ipad use different timers for the jobs or is it a bug? The longest I have now is only 4hrs.

Just curious I've seen people talk about changing cities to somewhere that has better businesses so they just have to pay coins instead of bucks, but I've seen some people talk about them loosing their city and starting from scratch when they changed! Just wanted to know if this is true or will I be safe to switch to diff city to get a good business?? Also if there is any kind enough people that could spare some buck I would appreciate it!! I'm a lv 40 nowadays would like to get Mt. Fuji!

So you got a couple franchises, well do you have any from Alaska. How about franchising one or two of mine? Or heck, you could do all of them several times.

Ok, that was pretty shameless begging, but my daughter spent all the bucks I was saving and she’s just too cute for me to get mad. So if anyone could franchise me, I would be eternally grateful. Laterz.

just bought another iphone n have had to start My Town all over again.

im about 45mins into the game and well, its slow.
i have 1 Starbucks and a few houses

can anybody give me a kickstart and franchise me and add friends?

Question about buying/selling/franchising businesses.

I live in a small town and keep ending up with businesses with low popularity. Through franchising I've managed to find some high pop businesses and that others have already paid the premiums to have them upgraded to top specs. My question is... If I sell one of my low pop businesses in favor of a better pop franchise when I sell my business will I be able to get the franchise right away or will I have to wait untill my population has grown to the next level? If that's the case I'll only sell them off as my levels increase and not do several if them at once. My popularity isn't very high due to my location. I'd like to change it to New York but have heard ppl having major problems when doing this??

!!! Sorry I put a digit wrong.... it's 356 081 05

I don't have any gifts left for today but will do it tomorrow. I will gift your highest level business, everyone should always do that as when you get to a level 10 you can send bucks. Sorry I don't know if I can franchise you as I have 36 businesses now.

Need bucks please

I need some help getting some bucks if I could get someone to franchise some of my businesses! I get several hi population ones raging for 30k to 60k in population! I would like to get Mt. Fuji and I only have about 270 bucks at the moment! If someone could help out I would really appreciate it! And I will gift you in return just shoot me your ID and town name!

I just found this forum yesterday and was amazed at the info. I'd been kind of blindly trying to figure out things on my own and finally got addicted enough to see if there was any insight to be found online. I obviously found the motherload here!

I was wondering whether the Wonders' powers could be multiplied if multiple types of the same Wonder were bought, and based on what I read in the streams here, I already purchased more stock exchanges which are building currently. Once that income stream starts growing I'll replace some of the residences with subways get more population in less space.

My biggest frustration is I have at least twice inadvertently clicked the business Upgrade instead of the 10 hour job on a business and lost considerable bucks in the process. (This morning it was 39 bucks lost). This really sucks where you are painstakingly trying to save them up for Mt. Fuji. It was a challenge to get the Intergalactic Spaceport at 80! So now 97 saved up in bank and need to get to 442. Man I hope the price doesn't go up before I can get there!

Once those stock exchanges are built I will switch the business type designations over all over to Office to see how much of an increase in business revenue I see. At first I was just randomly selecting businesses that showed up nearby on the search. I understand the significance of the popularity factor, but rather than chase the most popular businesses available, I'll collect businesses that I'm familiar with and like, whether in Ann Arbor, Michigan where I live (which is not exactly NYC with all the high volume of popular businesses) or other places I travel.

Like everyone else, I welcome visitors, investors, and unsolicited acts of kindness! (You might want to franchise a quirky small town business or restaurant). Feel free to visit ID 28976023 if you want to take a look at what someone did without outside guidance or jacking the system for more coin. (Not a criticism. Kudos for figuring out how to do it!) Probably wasted some effort on things that don't matter much, but it is obviously an addictive game!

Not trying to upset anyone here...Not begging but...

If I had plenty of bucks I would love to hook others up. # The game doesn't allow for chatting so thought this site was great. I actually have some pretty popular businesses if anyone is willing to franchise some from me so I could get some bucks. It took me months to save up for one cool item. I have bought every item and house that you can for coins and need those final touches for my town, I just can't afford them. If anyone is willing to help out this east coast girl, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi!

I just started to play the game and I can't finish a task of checking in into a restaurant within 25m of my location....I tried with changing my current location,but I only find places that are 90 m the closest.

I don't own a business closer than 70m,so I can't change it into restaurant either :/

any suggestions?

I travelled to my local mcdonalds for breakfast and completed the task while I was there. That's probably the easiest way to do it.

Has anything happened on St Patrics day? It still writes "coming soon" but it is already over!?!?!?
