That's what I said. Except gone is past tense, where as going is present.
I like the mini form factor better and the IPP just isn't a desktop replacement device.

If you want to draw on an iPad, sure it will work - but every iPad is capable of running the same software.
Question you need to ask is for the 40% more cost do I gain anything.

I feel I'm using mine in equal measures. I mainly use my 12.9 for YouTube in bed or to write an email or diary. I also prefer the 12.9 for reading the news on.

The 10.5 is easier to travel with and to take to work, or as last night to my girlfriends. Whist I was there I watched a Netflix movie and wished I had the 12.9 with me. The 10.5 is great for carrying around the house or quickly checking these forums or Facebook.

I don't regret buying both because I would miss the one I didn't have. Sometimes I come home from work and just "feel" like grabbing one to the other.

Wait, you use the 12.9 for bed? That's interesting. Its asume people use the 10.5 for bed, and the 12.9 for desktop work. How does it feel holding it in bed?

Personally, it works just fine for me and I'm 5'2". Just have it propped on some pillows or my thighs so pretty much the same as how I used my 9.7 in bed.

My weight limit for prolonged single handed use is ~300g or iPad mini so I've always needed to make accommodations for the 9.7" models.

What about laying it on the bed next to you? As someone who has back issues, i tend to change position every 5-10 minutes, and i often lay on my side. It must be harder for it to sit up on a mattress even with the support of a folded case? I still have to hold my old air with my one hand. I also fall aleep with my ipad next to me, lol.

That's what the pillows are for. Very useful for weird angles. :p

Normally, I've got the iPad propped up on the bed or pillows and I'm just supporting it with my finger tips. I don't have to support the iPad's full weight. And really, it's not that much heavier compared to the iPad 4 which I still use on occasion.

Personally I use it with the smart cover on propping it up to watch films. Can still browse that way too.

Maybe it's because of the question asked but I've found myself using the 12.9 all weekend, case less mainly, just attaching the Smart Keyboard when replying to emails or writing my diary.

I not only have a 10.5, and 12.9, but I have a 9.7 Pro and a mini 4. I know I don’t need all of these but the iPad is my favorite apple device so they’re fun to have.

Just picked up a new 12.9 today to go along with the 10.5 my work picked up for me about a month ago. I wouldn't have bought both myself, but now I have the best of both worlds!

Cellular or wifi? I can’t find the new cellular 12.9’s anywhere!

12.9 256 GB Space Gray cellular. 8 of the 12 stores within 50 miles of me in SoCal are showing them in stock, though the store I got it from yesterday is now out of stock.

Does Apple in store do Verizon edge upgrades? I found stock online but there was no option to do anything but buy it for retail price.

Not sure. I have Verizon and just bought the new one and swapped SIMs from old 12.9 and the new, and gave the old one to my son.
