there’s no reasoning with this kind of comment.Too capable.
I argue there isn’t much point reasoning with your comment. Do you know what their workload is? an iPad has flaws for sure considering how many applications are missing but people do real work on the iPads everyday. You realise that right?there’s no reasoning with this kind of comment.
Yes. I work on mine everyday. But he said the machine is ‘too capable’. In computing in general, it’s only with the iPad that I have heard such things as it being ‘too capable’ or it has ‘too much ram’. Let’s be fair, these are ridiculous comments to make for a computing system. How on earth can it be too capable for any workload.I argue there isn’t much point reasoning with your comment. Maybe he was just being sarcastic, joking about how powerful it is. No reason to get all bent out of shape about itYes. I work on mine everyday. But he said the machine is ‘too capable’. They comment the same things all the time in every ‘I like the iPad’ thread. I’m not bent out of shape, don’t be absurd. It’s an Internet forum, you’re supposed to comment on things, as you have with me.Maybe he was just being sarcastic, joking about how powerful it is. No reason to get all bent out of shape about it
I agree. I came from a first generation iPad Pro. So for me, this has been a huge upgrade. It's a great device and as usual, it will take some time for all of its potential to be capitalized upon.Honestly kinda confused by the reactions really. I feel like a lot of the issues that I have personally ran into are a result of app developers not updating their applications to work properly (e.g. for some reason some word documents not opening in Word for iPad but working fine for the mac)
Sure, there are limitations as a result of iPadOS like the multitasking but despite that, its still a very capable device. I feel like too many people saw the M1 in the iPad and ran wild with it despite no promises or indications towards a massive overhaul of iPadOS.
Fair enough, although Apple isn’t the only purveyor of pro apps, there are plenty of good ones already available.“pro“ apps like Final Cut for the ipad Pro were not announced at WWDC
The only thing absurd is letting comments like that even bother you at this point but your life. They comment the same things all the time in every ‘I like the iPad’ thread. I’m not bent out of shape, don’t be absurd. It’s an Internet forum, you’re supposed to comment on things, as you have with me.
Nothing is bothering me chief ? Glad to see you care though, makes me feel all warm inside. The only thing absurd is letting comments like that even bother you at this point but your life.
If that’s how you feel it surely beggars the question.. why did you buy it in the first place?I returned this blown up iOS iPhone, there was no need for iPadOS its just iOS
Uh what???I returned this blown up iOS iPhone, there was no need for iPadOS its just iOS
Always about the love cupcakeNothing is bothering me chief ? Glad to see you care though, makes me feel all warm inside.
I was disappointed and let down by iOS 15 and the lack of pro apps but then I remembered I only use my m1 pro to scroll twitter/facebook/macrumors/youtube, lose money on Robinhood land do some remote work so yeah Im quite content Lol although the iPad Air would probably do everything I need at 1/3 the cost ??♂️
Well to be fair you can get 256gb on the air. But it’s harder to justify getting the air if you do the storage upgrade when it’s so close to the iPad Pro pricing at that pointIf it's 1/3 the cost, then that's not really apples to apples. Reckon that's comparing a base 64GB Air 4 ($550-600) with a 1TB Pro ($1499-1999).
The primary reason I get the iPad Pros is because I can't get the storage I want on the Air.
Having just 64GB storage on the iPad would result in a lot of frustration for me. It was frustrating enough back in 2012 and my storage needs have increased since then. I upgraded from the iPad 3 to 4 within 10 months just for 128GB. Updating apps would constantly fail on the iPad 3 because it kept dropping to 0MB free. Deciding which content I should delete to make room for more was agonizing.
