I just love my new iPad 12,9. I have been using an iPad Air before.had to adjust a few weeks to the size but now I don’t want to go back. i currently have the new beta of ios 15 on my device and love the new features. Multi tasking is much better now. Sure I wish we could get more for iPad os, but for now I’m happy.

Coming from the 9.7 iPad Pro to the 2021 12.9 is incredible. Very pleased with it.
Same here. Still use my elder iPad for fun, but this new one is now part of my daily workflow.

Zero regrets about purchasing it.

the new iPad Pro 12.9” is a great little system. That said, Apps randomly close and reset when your not using them, very annoying when your watching a video switch over for a sec to check your email, only to lose your place in the video; Screen halo, the screen creates a slight grey haze around the edge of the screen, I know what causes it, but your essentially losing .5” of screen because of this, so you have ~12.5” display instead of a 12.9” display.

Quick tip. Place your email app on the dock, not sure if you use stock app or a 3rd party solution, but most email clients provide multitasking (SplitView/SlideOver) options.

When you are watching a video and you get an email, if you keep your email app in SlideOver state... you'll always be able to view your email without interruption.

I've been doing this for years... my set up has all my apps on the dock for multitasking purposes. Not saying you have to place all your apps on the dock, but just providing some advice.

12.9 1TB here and absolutely love it. Paired it with MK and it makes an amazing device. I still have my 2018 11“ IPP and had intended to keep that for when I wanted/needed the smaller form factor, but honestly haven’t touched it since opening the box for this new one.

If it's 1/3 the cost, then that's not really apples to apples. Reckon that's comparing a base 64GB Air 4 ($550-600) with a 1TB Pro ($1499-1999).

The primary reason I get the iPad Pros is because I can't get the storage I want on the Air.

Having just 64GB storage on the iPad would result in a lot of frustration for me. It was frustrating enough back in 2012 and my storage needs have increased since then. I upgraded from the iPad 3 to 4 within 10 months just for 128GB. Updating apps would constantly fail on the iPad 3 because it kept dropping to 0MB free. Deciding which content I should delete to make room for more was agonizing.
i could probably get by with a 128gb air. This is storage after restoring from my 2020 iPad backup. I’ll probably download some shows or movies to try to fill more up. I do have cloud storage tho

Well to be fair you can get 256gb on the air. But it’s harder to justify getting the air if you do the storage upgrade when it’s so close to the iPad Pro pricing at that point

Lol, I actually did buy a 256GB LTE Sky Blue Air 4. I'll get a 1TB 11" eventually but I still need TouchID at that size for now. I'll be swapping between the Pro 11 and Air 4 much like I've done before (Pro 10.5+Air 3, Pro 9.7+5th gen). :p

Alas, it's 64GB ($550-600 wifi) or 256GB ($700-750 wifi) only.

While I do use iCloud and Dropbox, the content I download to my devices are in the cloud already and doesn't take up any space in my personal quota (Amazon Kindle/Comixology and Apple iTunes/Movies Anywhere).

I love mine. Use it for media consumption, playing some games, reading books, typing documents and am slowly starting to learn photo editing. The iPad is perfect for all those roles and the extra performance is fantastic

Love mine! I have the 11”. I was initially disappointed that it wouldn’t have the new screen, but while blooming wouldn’t be an issue as I don’t use dark mode, shadows around the edges would be. I got the right iPad Pro for me.

Love mine. Went for the 1TB cellular 12.9 inch. The Apple Watch has always been my favourite Apple device until this came out. Incredible kit with brilliant battery and coupled with the MK it’s
Even though I enjoyed the Apple Watch… especially when it came out, just the idea of having a computer on your wrist... it was fun.

But the iPad is just on a whole another level for me. It’s my favorite Apple device and one that is invaluable to me; as much as I was hesitant on keeping it after the introduction of iPadOS 15. I’ve grown to take the iPad for what it is.. sit back while Apple take me for the ride.

I’ve always been a fan of how the Magic Keyboard allows the iPad to sit up above the keyboard, but wasn’t a fan of the price. I had a dock and keyboard at the time… which made me reluctant to give the Magic Keyboard a try, if mine works.. why go through the trouble with a new setup.

Then the BongBingBoo iPad Stand came along… which I then considered it, however… it was priced at $100 (now $60). So, I decided to just create one using my preexisting dock... As seen below, with the K2 Keychron Keyboard.

Yep, very happy with my first ever iPad (12.9 iPP 256). Purchased Affinity Designer (pro Graphic Designer here) and it is awesome. My goal is to use it as a design work device as well and I feel like it is very close. I’ve been using my iCloud account so internal storage is not an issue but Files could use quite a bit of updating to make it closer to a Finder experience. I’ve only had it a few days so I have quite a bit of getting aquatinted with it. Very impressed by the screen, speakers, and Pencil, plus trying out the Logi Combo Touch which so far has been great.

I’m thrilled with my 12.9” iPP.

Now I’ve tended to only use my M1 MBP for zoom due to a well placed fixed setup. The laptop is great but I find the iPP more rewarding to use.

First gen 12.9 was my favorite Apple device of all time. Even though they’re playing games with iPad OS 15, it was no question that I was gon update to the latest.

Well, I’m not sure who manufacture the stand… but you can get it directly from this site below.

But I was told with that site… it takes awhile to receive it, but it’s the cheaper route. Unless you go to Amazon to order it from there.

Another tidbit… MacRumors is doing a giveaway on the stand.

It is a work of art. Immediately noticed the speed upgrade when working with particular brushes and 3D models in CSP.

Got my 12,9", the blooming when using Disney+ when videos load and when using the cursor in the dark edges up and down etc. was just too much to stomach for my liking. I'll be ordering the 11" and since trying the 12,9" it's just too damn big and heavy for using it as a tablet, so the 11" with mkb is where i'll be spending my money. Got student discount aswell, so i'm saving a few SEK. :)

Using it for media consumption, social media, artwork with procreate aswell as my daughters fav device for drawing. :)

Just got my Pro 11" with Magic Keyboard yesterday, and I already love it. I do a lot of writing, and the Magic Keyboard is amazing. Plus with the trackpad it's super close (not quite) to using a tiny Macbook. It's *just* big enough to be stable on my lap, but not too big to easily stuff into my backpack. I came from the iPad 5 9.7 (?), so the screen is a nice upgrade, too.

I've always loved iPads above any other Apple product. Sure, they have their shortcomings, but I've matured in my acceptance that these are just limitations and not inherent defects of the product. Like Jobs would've said, if I wanted a truck, then go purchase a truck instead of complaining why my car can't do "truck-y" things. I have MacOS devices to do my MacOS tasks, but for everything else, the iPad is perfect~

And now, with the mini-LED screen, I'm actually seeing the benefits over regular LED screens (I don't have an OLED device). In my free time, I'm watching more movies on my iPad as my default go to device and enjoying so much more. And, with spatial audio, I can enjoy both my consumption and "prosumption" at the same time.

Before my first iPad Pro, I used to desire every new MBP and iPhone release. Now, I only look forward to iPad updates/releases.
