It could be iOS. I mean the phone is physically much different than anything Apple has ever released before. But the software is still much the same. Maybe that’s what’s making you feel bored of your phone. Personally, I love my iPhone 10. The camera, design, screen....absolutely love it. I’d give iOS 11 more props, if it didn’t crash so damn much

I read somewhere that Apple said the X is not even at it's full potential yet.

i don’t know, i love phone and it’s everything I’ve expected and more. I guess feeling a lil weird because I’m craving for something now, is the novelty gone? The chase is gone and I got the phone... what’s next? Now i can’t wait for the next iPhone release which is next year. . Anyone else feel the same way?

it's not about materialism, very simple.

Your smartphone can only do so much for you. Maybe find something else to focus on? Do you need a new couch?
What is the point of giving life lessons in a forum like this?
It should be perfectly obvious that there isn't anything else as exciting :p:p

The phone makers are also getting desperate in an attempt to make us feel we need a new phone.

Animojis are a prime example.

I think Animojis were developed solely as a technology demonstration application to show off the capabilities of the true depth camera. Practically speaking, I would not want to send or receive Animoji messages as I am rarely in a position where it is convenient to LISTEN to a text message. I would much rather receive a voice mail than watch an animated emoji.

I know others like but I have zero use for these little creatures.

Always the same: shiny new toy comes out. It's the greatest thing! Must get it right away! Then the novelty wears off and it's time to covet the next toy.

Sometimes tech euphoria wears off. I have been in a position where I like new technology and new gadgets, but once you own it after a while, it does wear off and it's just another piece of disposable tech that eventually will be replaced by something else next year. But I try not to get myself too excited over just one thing.

I could honestly not care less about animojis. It was a feature that I looked at during the reveal as something I would never use, and it has held true, I don't think I'll ever use it unless someone specifically asked me to.

I remember having the same feelings with the Nintendo Wii. At first, it was so cool to use the WiiMote to play Wii Sports and Twilight Princess. After a few months, I wanted to go back to a traditional controller and sit back and relax to play games.

Novelty wears off for anything. Even sex can get tiresome. I could be dating a chick for a few years. The first six months is when we do the deed mostly. Then it declines after a year or so. By 2019 when the X is only iPhone design for the market, it will grow tiresome too.

2017
"OH EM GEE, is that the new iPhone Eks?"

"Yeah, I love it more than my new-born baby! It's so beautiful."

X owner is using it the same exact way with the same exact apps from the previous model. Less than 10 months later, a better one that looks like it comes out. Having the "best" lasts as long as you reading my post.

2019
"I'm bored. My iPhone X is dying on me now. I want NEW DESIGN! NEW GIMMICK! I want something to show off and brag about again. Something NEW so I can attract strangers to me for less than one minute again before they completely forget about me afterwards."

ADHD Generation X.

Marketing tries its best to hype up new tech as something great when in the end it is just a phone. Aside from Face ID, the iPhone X literally does nothing that has not already been done in phone tech before. People just want something new and different from the iPhone design they've been looking at since iPhone 6.

Well it is just a phone afterall.

Like christmas as a kid it's the build up that is the exciting bit
