What are you expecting? It's the same exact UX. The hardware won't give you a dramatic change navigating or make apps better. It may open apps a millisecond faster but that's it. Unlocking is different but once it becomes seamless, then what? You're gonna be chasing the dragon forever.

i don’t know, i love phone and it’s everything I’ve expected and more. I guess feeling a lil weird because I’m craving for something now, is the novelty gone? The chase is gone and I got the phone... what’s next? Now i can’t wait for the next iPhone release which is next year. . Anyone else feel the same way?

We see threads like this every year for every model.

While I'm definitely looking forward to the next year's release (as I do every year), I am in no way bored with my X (I wasn't even bored with my 7 Plus) and will continue to love every minute of using it until I get whatever comes out next year.

Probably because it's 95% the same phone as every preceding iPhone. Maybe you're just itching for something that isn't an iPhone?

I will only be happy and never bored when my phone can go to work for me and mow my lawn!

I think that's why I didn't get the Wii U which was the first time I never got a Nintendo home console and still reluctant getting a Switch for $300. I grew tired of Nintendo hardware gimmicks and what they tried to do with the controller since the N64.

Sometimes fresh innovations are gimmicks catered for short-term enjoyment. It's only been out less than two weeks and I can imagine once gesture swipes become second nature, there will always be people looking at the glass half empty.

Smartphone "innovations" and this decade-long love affair with them is waning. Will the iPhone X flop? Of course not. The design will be played out in a year when nearly 100M of the X is already in circulation.

The iPhone peaked in sales in late-2014 and throughout 2015 with the iPhone 6. We are aware of their patterns and design cycles. In this day and age, six months feels only a few weeks elapsed.

There is going to be folks who will say best phone ever, yadda yadda. Cycles. Stages.

^ That's how we are too anytime we get a new phone or getting into a relationship. Excited early. Complacency after.

People only want to loop the first four stages, so they buy and buy the latest one to repeat those feelings over and over.

Not bored, though I didn’t buy the iPhone X to take away any “boredom” I had with my 6 Plus. I bought the phone to cover what I needed it to do in my personal and work life.

I am somewhat bored of the UI, but that’s something I have been tired off with iOS for a few years now, yes it works but some mild springboard customization options would be great.

How could anyone be bored with such a beautiful phone?
I've got the Samsung galaxy s8 and this is a stunner too. Can't get enough of that beautiful screen neither.

The iPhone X is a beauty and the screen is as good or better than the Samsung galaxy s8. No way a normal person would get bored already.

Like every new product you get. Excitement at first, but then the product either winds up on a shelf or incorporated into your day-to-day life and the excitement is gone.

It's just a slightly better smartphone, after all. And slightly worse as well (smaller screen for Plus owners).

We're all just built now to want the next great thing...these companies, especially Apple have mastered getting people excited about a product. And that's great, as long as the tech takes a few steps forward, I'm usually one to bite...

Speaking of which...
I just watched an unboxing of the new OnePlus 5T Phone, and I want one..lol

I'm a tech geek, what can I say!

Animoji not holding your interest? The OMG!OLED! display not doing it for you any more? FaceID? Portrait Lighting? 4K slo mo videos? Are you using the phone??

Seriously, it happens. Fact is, iOS is long in the tooth. That doesn’t change besides a few gesture changes and general updates. I recommend finding some new apps to download, refresh your wallpapers more often, maybe get some nice cases. You gotta hold out until at least September 2018 before any new iPhone comes along.

So many, "It's just a phone!" comments. Oh, how the definition of "phone" has changed!

Yeah, I'm an old geezer. I can remember when "phone" was a heavy, black desktop object with a rotary dial that did only one thing. All these 'just a phone' comments prove just how quickly the shine rubs off, whether it's technology or personal relationships.

We all need excitement in our lives, but a steady diet of thrills is hard to maintain. There's something to be said for the quieter enjoyments of life, whether it's a walk in the woods, the comforting presence of a long-time companion, or a well-designed, well-used tool.

One nice thing about dumping an old iPhone 6 for an iPhone X is that nobody's feelings get hurt (well, as far as we know).

Another older guy here. Yeah, but I seem to remember that if you dialed your own number and hung up fast enough, your phone would ring! It was great for weirding out family members.

I went to the Apple store after work and bought the folio. Lol I’m bored

I feel like people are constantly chasing that newness high. As amazing as this phone is it’s not going to change your life in any large way if you’ve had a smartphone, particularly iPhone, before it.

When I’m bored I go do something that I enjoy. My phone is a tool. I treat it as such.

As a side note, I just bought a wet saw and boy was that ever boring. My brick pathway looks amazing though :)

I have a path for you:

Apple Watch>>>Accessories>>AirPods>>MacBook Pro>>iPad>>Accessories>>>2018 iPhone Event

Note: Wait until you’re bored to buy from the next category in the chain.

Works every time. Guaranteed. :)
