I got my shipping notification and tracking number about 36 hours, but my iPad is still in "Billing Information Received", without even an origin scan.

Should I be worried? Anyone else in this same boat? I'm in NYC, if that matters.

I'm in the same boat and the date for Shipped/Billed On keeps changing to the current date (since 3/30).

Mine has been "Billing Information Received" for the last two days. Still hasn't had an "Origin Scan." However, I'm confident that the UPS global supply chain will have it here on Saturday.

Mine was also switching the date. I just got a departure scan this morning. I'm in PA

CHEK LAP KOK, HK 04/01/2010 1:22 P.M. DEPARTURE SCAN
SHENZHEN, CN 03/31/2010 12:08 A.M. ORIGIN SCAN
CN 04/01/2010 4:38 P.M. BILLING INFORMATION RECEIVED

Hm. I'm still on Billing Information Received.

By my calculation, they'd better leave China by Friday morning (US time) to have any hope of getting here on time.

having the same problem

has anyones status changed........ UPS and Apple have been no help and don't explain nothing

Hello everybody

Thank goodness I found this thread, I was freaking out! I thought it was just me that was having the problem with the 'Billing Information Received'!

I contacted Apple and they confirmed the iPad was shipped, but UPS keeps telling me they did not pick it up.

I think I am more inclined to believe Apple as they stand more of a chance of getting people ticked off losing a customer.

What do you think?

I really hope it makes it to Nashville tomorrow...

does anyone feel that there's a conspiracy going on. Apple told me it was shipped out Wednesday but UPS said they never picked it up because in there computer like mine it only has billing information received. Has any of your status changed because mine has been like that since Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:confused::confused::confused::apple::mad:

my thought

I have the same thing for my order — and I am on the west coast (Los Angeles).

My thought is that Apple has pre-positioned units at various large UPS distribution centers on the west coast for orders -- knowing they would ship so many to certain areas.

Just a thought.

Maybe but dough it i also live in the west coast Oxnard near LA, hold on what if this problem is only for the west coast who here is having this problem and is from the west coast?????????????

Don't worry, you will get it. Sometimes UPS forgets to update things. I have had that happen quite a few times.

i'm in wisconsin and have the same message.

I see my UPS driver every day and he told me they already have ipad units at there hub and are holding them for Saturday delivery.

So if you have this message most likely your ipad is already within a few miles of you and there is no update since they don't need to scan the departure until tomorrow.

No, I am picking up... once I had a laptop coming in and the status didn't change till about a week after I got it via UPS. I have had the Out For Delivery as well, but it wasn't delivered till the next day. I called UPS when I had a high cost item coming in, when the website said it was still in the departing city for a week, they said the status hasn't been updated, they refresh it and its up to date. I say don't worry cause UPS is incredibly good at what they do. I would call UPS though, you can find a tele number on the website.

I have had issues with them, but most was on the drivers not wanting to walk to the other end of my building to ring the bell.

Mine says:

UPS delivery man is outside your door right now, trying to decide whether to ring the door bell and deliver your iPad, thus giving you incredible pleasure and satisfaction, and relieving you of your worries about whether you will get your iPad as promised, but also costing the delivery man his job, sending him into poverty, and condemning his children to a life of misery and woe. He still thinking.

Further update:

Delivery man has decided to go to Starbucks and see if your iPad is a chick magnet.

Man, UPS sure gives you a detailed account of your shipment!

not to sound like the negative guy but how do you one of those are yours ??? i have some doubts but what really bothers me is that i have no way of tracking it... I mean you just payed 600 dollars on something you have never touched or seen in person the least they can do is let you track it..
