Anyone else still in "Billing Information Received"?

OKAY: JUST SPOKE WITH A UPS REP:

She said every other call she gets all day is about the iPad. She said she GUARANTEES we will get our shipments tomorrow EVEN IF THERE IS NO SATURDAY DELIVERY IN YOUR AREA. The only way you will not is if some "extreme case" occurs such as a truck crash or something to that extent.

"With World Ease shipments now they are not scanning most of the units because there are so many but I can confirm that your package is on time"

Thanks for taking the time to call and update us. I was ready to call NORAD and have them track mine like they do Santa @ Christmas:)

Thanks :). Its better to call, the update on the internet might not be 100% accurate.

Actually it's better to not bother them.

Apple/UPS know what they are doing, unless you have already been informed from Apple that your ipad isn't arriving until Monday it will be delivered Saturday.
 
Billing Information Received report, from an old apple fan

My report:
I got the UPS notification on March 30 with "Billing Information Received". Call Apple order support and they told me "stay in your house, you will receive your iPad this Saturday"
My intro to this community:
I'm not a young guy, but I remember the apple computer startup days like yesterday.
For many reasons, my interaction with apple was low until ipad announcement.
From this point, I purchase a new ipod, an iMac (try to buy an iPhone but with AT&T in the middle, I will wait a little more) and the ipad. My registration in MacRumors is part of this exploding phenomenon. Also I’m moving most of my current dev projects to the apple platform.
I'm happy with apple now; they were working so hard all these years and never got the right position in the History.

Many guys will stay at home this historic Saturday, waiting for the ipad, and then playing with it.

I Check the UPS status before reply to this thread with same results (Billing Information Received, no more info added since March 30).

This is pretty much a restatement of what I already said but is explained a little better - this was posted in another thread by myself.

Just spoke with a "higher up" at UPS who got very friendly with me. She said every other call she gets all days is about the iPad. ON HER OWN ACCORD she said that she is not just saying this to "shut me up" but on most of the shipments now they are not going to be scanned until they are at our local hubs. She said with World Ease there has been so many shipments they have not been able to handle scanning everything. She said she didn't know exactly where it was because her system doesn't tell her but can CONFIRM that it departed on time and we WILL get them tomorrow.

Hope I made some of you feel better because I do, this lady really seemed to know what she was talking about.

Makes me feel a little better but if I see no update Saturday morin like "out for delivery" I will be a little upset.:(

at least mine finally arrived in the US

At least your guys have ORIGIN SCANs. I'm still at Billing Information Received. It's as if someone ran "End Of Day" with UPS Worldship Software but never loaded the truck. The label was generated but the iPad was never picked up.

not to sound like the negative guy but how do you one of those are yours ??? i have some doubts but what really bothers me is that i have no way of tracking it... I mean you just payed 600 dollars on something you have never touched or seen in person the least they can do is let you track it..

I feel the same way, I got the 64gig model, and I cannot track it! Apple rep says it was shipped, UPS says they never picked it up.

What I think they did was as they are shipped the iPads by the pallet load was they did a random scan of each pallet and called it even, the UPS guys over in China probably did not want to have to deal with scanning thousands of iPads so they decided to let the US based UPS guys deal with it tonight when they are getting ready to ship the things out for the Satuday roll out delivery.
 
so how are we going to know when it will arrive to our homes if we cant track them

You wouldn't know the time even if it was being tracked. Either it will show up tomorrow or not. If not, Apple/UPS will be getting calls from us, and we can be updated then.

I do not know about you but I am staying home until it arrives, they have a release form available that you can fill out and hang on the door if you are not going to be home, but there is no way I am going to let a $700 piece of technology sit on my doorstep while I am away!

yea i know what you mean i just wish it would be delivered in the morning no later then 10 because i'm going to be jealous of people that got there ipads earlier because they got in line and uploaded the unboxing videos i just want my ipad in my hands were it belongs!!!!!!!!!
