Walmart has been a sticky-wicket - order sits with no activity.
When I placed my preorder (4/17), Walmart showed estimated delivery date of 5/3-5/4. I received 5/2.

In my case, device arrived at my door step the same day it shipped (FedEx facility that received it was less than 60 miles away from me).

Unless in-store stock is plentiful and readily available (pretty iffy with current events), you're likely better off just putting in a backorder and waiting for the item to arrive.

Been looking at getting the SE 2020 - hard to find, Apple has a 3-week wait. Best Buy had the 128GB for local pickup at various stores on May 12 - 6-days out - later in the day all stores had no stock - none for 250-miles (according to their availability statement). Walmart has been a sticky-wicket - order sits with no activity.

Try Target pick-up. That’s where I got mine.

I honestly would have gone for the SE if they'd souped up the battery to iPhone 11 levels, or even XR levels.

Maybe the SE Plus, if that even turns out to be real (",)
Most of the people in here who love their SE wouldn’t have bought it if it had 11 battery longevity because that would mean the device would have to be way thicker and heavier. It’s a dealbreaker to a lot of us to have an 1800mah battery, but then again weight and thickness is also a dealbreaker to many people. SE is best for someone who doesn’t use their phone constantly.

Yes, my thoughts as well. However I am amazed at how well the battery does last me thru the day. If this phone was made heavier or bigger to allow for more battery I would not have gotten it. The size was a good 80% of my decision to buy it.

Well, the way John Prosser has been on fire lately with his predictions following through with the MacBook and the iPhone SE 2, I’d say the SE Plus is very likely for 2021. The question is, is it first-quarter or is it ultimately being released third-quarter 2021. Either way, I’d say that phone model will be a reality.

Has anybody that ordered from Apple recently seen any movement on their orders? I know dates when you order say end of may-beginning of June as the estimate

One thing I have noticed, is the iPhone SE vibration engine is weak. Vibration when one gets a call is not very noticeable, compared to past iPhones I have had. If you have your phone in your pocket and the environment is noisy, you may miss your call, if looking to vibration to alert you.

You may have a defective Taptic Engine then in your SE.

Strange. Usually Apples vibrations resonating throughout the chassis on the iPhone is very prominent. But then again ask yourself, what do you do? Do you exchange it, because you really can’t compare/replicate it in a store, being they are not open, along with carriers.

Does it depend on Haptic Touch sensitivity for which there are 3 settings? If so then you can try a different setting under Touch.

I've noticed the same thing. The Haptics are fine, because at that moment I'm holding the phone and my attention is on it; they come through "loud" and clear. But I don't feel it very well vibrating in my pocket. It might have something to do with my case: it is not a hard plastic. Perhaps that is dampening the vibrations?

I have it on 3

I am using the Apple leather case

Just happened again, just now. Phone rang, and if I hadn't been looking at it I wouldn't have known. I'm not in a perfectly quiet enviroment, however. And my phone is in its case, sitting on a wood counter. Really a "perfect" setup for dampening the vibrations. The case is baseball leather, with stitches. So soft enough construction, with surface flexibility, to really dampen the vibrations.

On the haptic setting, does it affect the strength of the vibration? I thought that was only for sensitivity. In any case, haptics aren't the same thing as alert vibrations, I think. Aren't haptics an interaction element?

Anyway when I search for the ability to increase the vibration intensity, I find advice to do a custom vibration, which isn't the same thing, but might help. Going to try it.

Try creating a custom vibration pattern. I have my 8+ vibrate 4x in quick succession for every text and call. It helps me to feel it in my pocket while moving around.

I got my new SE a few days ago. For me, it's the largest phone I have ever had so still feels like quite a big phone - but I appreciate that in this day and age it's at the smaller end of the size scale!

I've come from an old SE (1st gen). I migrated everything across to my new phone without any hiccups. It's blazing fast and the camera is excellent, far better than my old SE and even better than I was expecting. I have seen comments from a couple of people complaining call volumes were disappointing and that they had trouble hearing. That is not my experience at all; I've already made several calls to friends and work colleagues and the volume and quality could not be any better.

With regards to battery; I am not a particulalrly heavy user. I don't listen to music on my phone or play games. Yesterday I fully charged it to 100% and used it throughout the day to take several photos, videos, I sent a few messages, looked at various websites and I even made a few phone calls and when I went to bed it wasn't even past 50% yet so, I do not envisage any problems. I've had a few iPhones now and never had problems with battery life. I comfortably get a full day usage, and often two days from a charge.

I'm having to get used to the on/off button being on the side rather than the top, but that's it. Overall I could not be happier with the iPhone SE and it should see me through the next few years.

I have an 11 Pro Max, but I am thinking of buying this small phone for times when I'm out and about and don't want to carry my brick Pro Max...particuarly when I go out for a run at the park or around the neighborhood.

Same for me buy more that I want touchID for Apple Pay so I don't have to fool with my mask or a passcode. Just a good side effect that it is easier to get in and out of my pocket.
