iPhone X Anyone Regret Getting Gold

The saddle brown won’t truly shine until it has developed a patina. Usually around 6 months of daily use it will start to look REALLY good. I think the dark brown patina look would look really good with the Gold color.

I got the saddle brown for my silver XS and I think it looks pretty baller. The stainless steel band just looks really nice.

I think the silver stainless steel looks really... professional? And it’s in a case so you can’t see the white. But I do like the black front/white back “panda” combination.

I agree with the stainless steel on the silver. It does look very very professional.

And the forest green leather case looks like it'll go with gold very well

Especially when they came with a white face. The color and the trim are non factors if you use a case and most do. SG Max here.

The white face was the absolute worst. I had a gold 6 Plus and the white absolutely killed the look of the phone

Not sure what you mean by "true" gold, to me I'd say it looks like 375-416 (9-10k) rose gold with a light tarnish. I really like the frame colour, I think the subtleness stops it from looking gaudy. I'd use a skin for the back with a transparent case though, not a fan of the overly coppery tones on the glass.
 
I got Silver because the device will probably wear some sort of case and if you do get scuffs or light scratches you can polish them out. Can’t do what with gold or grey.

I have looked a multiple images of the gold MAX and it looks like Apple forgot what gold looks like. They all seem washed out to the point that ambient lighting can wash out any of the gold color.

I got gold and I’m not a fan. The back has this pinkish/salmon color look to it. I’m going to give it a few days but I think I’m gonna exchange for SG.

I find all colours of the iPhone look worse in the Apple store than they do out in the wild. They need to change their lighting lol
 
Here is my Gold in a Totallee case, I am probably going to end up with a Spigen case for a bit more protection up front.

Alot of people like the new gold color, Me personally I Think its absolutely hideous. That color scheme is meant for girls, not for a man, maybe thats why I hate it so much. Its way to shiny and weird looking.

When Apple started making gold phones, there was a big to do about men owning a gold phone, and then a rose gold phone.
 
I kinda wish I stuck with Silver like on my X, but I wanted to try out the new color.

From the reviews I've been reading here and watching on youtube, the gold is highly sought after. I hear its really nice. I've been lazy driving to the mall to check out the XS/XS MAX, I might go Tues. to see them in=person. I would keep what you have and put a black case over it. You probably won't ever see the color until your next upgrade.
 
No regrets. I’ve never had a gold iOS device before as I was never interested. However, this is a nice warm brownish gold that is gorgeous to look at. I love the color.

Personally I wouldn't be caught dead pulling a gold iPhone (or a gold anything including a watch) out of a suit at a business meeting.

I think it fits more casual people and people who like accessories.
