Rose Gold was my favorite before, but I really do like this new understated gold on the new XS Max just as much. Also rocking a clear Spigen case so the color is visible with the case on.
I just left the Apple Store, and I was looking at the XS Max colors: I'm still glad that I purchased the gold. I change it up every year. Last year I had the silver X. The SG still looks boring to me.
Great combination. I have the Forest Green folio case. Looks great.

If you are upgrading every year, why not try something different.
I went with silver because this phone will pass to my wife and will keep for at least 3 years, i am not sure I will like it for 3 or more years with it.
When I saw a guy was using the rose gold 6S the other day, it looked kind of awful. Lol

No not at all. In fact I’ve had my gold max for 6 weeks and I’ve still got my clear spigen case on. This is the longest I’ve kept a clear case on. I usually take it off and put an Apple silicone one on. I have an Apple silicone case but I’ve not used it yet.
My daughter has a gold XS she would love to sell because the OLED is giving her headaches. PM me if you think you’d be interested. It’s obviously in great condition, having been in a case with a screen protector since launch day.
I did look at getting gold but I had to base my decision on the online images as I preordered the phone. If I did get the gold one I would have had to get the gold Series 4 watch to as I wanted them to match and I didn’t want a gold watch. I prefer the understated look when it comes to the watch. So I ended up staying with silver like I had with my X previously and I got a silver watch too. I’ve never been keen on the space grey colour.
I love my silver watch. I think that was part of my draw to the XR - got the silver trim on the white that matches my watch. My only issue now is I don’t think I’m gonna buy a new iPP like I originally planned when I sold my 12.9, and my 2018 iPad is the gold that looks like rose gold (my very least favorite).
I have to say - it’s killing the OCD in me. ;-p
I rarely have a case on, and the gold is the best color in my opinion. Nicest to look at and never gets old.

It’s a toss up. I thought about going with the silver again, but I’m glad I changed it up and went with the gold. The coating on the gold band is more scratch resistant whereas the stainless band scuffs up easily (you can polish it out, but I didn’t care to mess with that again). For now, I like the gold better, but the silver is still a great color.
The space gray is a dark horse, easy to ignore at first but if you really look at it it's a beautiful phone.
I completely ignored the space gray at first, ended up wanting the gold at launch like most, decided maybe it was too much for me and switched to the only other option in my mind, the silver/white, and then saw the SG in store and got that in the end.

Yes I still have the original iPad Pro 9.7” in gold as I skipped the last iPad release. I do want to get the new iPad Pro because of the virtually bezel less design, Face ID and more powerful performance primarily but also because I want the colour to match my iPhone and Apple Watch too so I want to get the silver model.

To be honest I like the gold colour and I don’t mind having a gold iPhone and iPad but I’m not really keen on having a gold Apple Watch. Also it’s harder to match band colours with the gold watch too. And I want everything to match as trivial as that might sound.

I own the 5.8' gold Xs. I like the gold as it makes the Xs look nice, and it is the new color for this year. If I had silver or space grey, there is nothing to tell it apart from last year's phone if I get the 5.8' version. I wished there were more color choices like the Xr.
