Which iPad? Surely not the 12.9.

No I’ve got the 11”. It’s jusT so much easier on the eyes than my 8 plus and not a big deal to take to work. Also with wearing the watch I get messages that way as well so I can imagine not needing a phone. I think Apple should make it possible by letting the watch pair with te iPad.

Aside from the crazy high prices of the new iPad Pros today, I'm starting to think with MacBook Pros getting better displays, being even lighter, and of course, still more powerful (especially with the VEGA graphics), I'm finding that I can probably squeeze the iPad out of my workflow.

I'm currently on a 2013 macbook pro 15" and I'm looking to maybe upgrade when Cannonlake comes out, and it got me thinking, I almost never bother with my iPad as I can usually do just fine with my macbook pro and my iPhone 7 Plus for when I'm away from my mac. I'm starting to struggle to find a usage scenario for my iPad.

Anyone else thinking about going back to the old lineup of just a mac and a phone?
Lol if you don't use your iPad then don't buy another one. You don't need to ask random people on the internet this!

Reactions: Never mind
I use the Pro at work to display written text (I am a teacher). I won't be ditching the iPad Pro anytime soon. I will however not be upgrading yearly anymore.

I am sticking to this belief also now, the prices are getting way out of hand and I'm so out of pocket every year when upgrading, enough is enough now!

I do say it every year that we are not upgrading (Myself and Wife) but in the end we do upgrade, but...nope not anymore. It was alright when the pound V dollar was the same but now its ramped right up and I don't believe the extra costs are due to some hardware Face ID crap! They purchase in bulk so the margins are pretty extensive.

No more for a few years IMO, not if Apple keep pushing those prices too far
