Oh, heh, of course I'm looking at the US store... wonder why the $20 difference, surely that isn't a tariff of some sort, or do businesses really think they can get away with breaking and entering in Australia?
Oh and a Currency Conversion only brings $69.99 to ~$72.89 Australian dollars... so the difference between currency isn't large enough for that kind of gap.
Plus GST (Aussie sales tax) at 10%, surely? So US$69.99 = AU$72.89, plus AU$7.29 GST = AU$80.18. If they're only charging AU$79.99, then the before-tax price is lower than the US.

Exactly what i have been complaining about for a long time now. How can you charge tariff on software you download. If it was physical and you owned it i understand but cmon...
Looks like apples server has gone bust, i cant access itunes to download and i cant even publish using iweb!
Hardly the fault of Apple or the developers, though - surely you don't expect them to pay the tax for you?Yes 10% Gst but still.. cmon not good at all...![]()

So this is why Apple held off on allowing 'mount as drive'
Looks pretty slick. Good price too.

It's called Google Docs.
Besides, it's Day 1, I'm sure there's plenty more to come.
And who said the Pandora app was stupid?! I don't think so!![]()
I dunno, you're going to have to ask the Australian Government on that one, if it is a tariff and not just plain old thievery.

Does anyone know how big these apps are? How much disc space is going to be taken by them if loaded onto the phone?
I am definitely using my US account and not my UK one. It will probably be $9.99 = £9.99.
