LMAO 21 replies and on Reddit(overly extra commentary from my experience) vs 200 replies in a specific thread from APP from users describing the issues, documenting specific firmware rev. as well cause and effect and sharing and trying suggestions.
Sorry I have the XM3’s and the latest firmware so I’m not buying anything in that thread.

Even with all this insider information you’re still sticking to Apple products. Why if I may ask?

Because they are still cool still :)

I said the Audio line came out with good products and they ended up messing them at some point.
HomePod got firmware bricking and APP has the ANC issues.

No need to get smarty pants.

Considering at least 10x more APP are sold compared to the Sony’s, then those numbers make a bit more sense.

the problem is there is actually 13 replies in that Reddit link you’ve posted I was being optimistic with stating 21.

regardless not one bit of troubleshooting nor advice just “me too” and why’s posted. So I personally give no weight there.

Sucking. Blowing. Rubbing alcohol.

Are people doing all these things to fix their AirPods Pro? Or just to get their kink on? ?

Seriously, it's ridiculous that we have to jump through all of these bizarre hoops just to get our $250 earphones to work properly.

pretty much making the APP a fail after such success. Many users don’t like the size of nor lack of water resistance of the Sony WF-1000MX3’s and now Senheisser has the Momentum True Wireless 2’s with ANC +IPx rating with similar size to APP. $50 more on USA retail price but people will be looking elsewhere if they see this thread.

Apple needs to get their engineering software team back in their lane.

I noticed the reduced ANC with the newer firmware however I didn't bother going to apple until last week when I noticed I was getting some whistling noise at low volume which was annoying. The "genius" I spoke to said that is probably because of the reduced ANC and best to wait it out until the new firmware is released. As I said it has been a few months now and can't they please replace. He said if we give you another set the firmware will update again ?‍♀️ Then I said apple pulled the update a while ago. Anyway he goes to check if that is correct and comes back and says ok, we will replace with a new retail set!

So they did a return on my 5 month old set and gave me a new set. Get home and my right airpod crackled at every opportunity, grrrrrrrr. First thing Saturday morning I took them back and they replaced them again, new ones are perfect and I notice the ANC is working much better. Thankfully I went back the next morning as now the apple store is closed for 2 weeks.........

They probably gave you a refurbished set where someone already returned them for the crackling issue(s) and did a proforma check and didn't see it. Say this as I've now had to replace both my left and right buds separately due to the issue. The problem was that both were annoyingly inconsistent - could go an hour or two and all great then the next hour or two and couldn't take 2 steps without the crackling...

Flossy's new favorites are the Sennheisers. I might pick up a pair when they become available. No issues at all with my APP, but I love my Sennheiser Momentum 3 over-ears and am VERY tempted by these True Wireless 2.

saw that review, white shoes (lol cracks me up). He’s always been a fan of that model until the Sony XM3’s overtook them.

I’m waiting to see what Jim’s Review Room has to say and hopefully he’ll do a head to head either he XM3’s and these Momentum wireless 2’s. He uses equipment to measure the volume and quality so his reviews seem more scientific if not less personal taste than Flossy’s.

then I’ll see what the XM4’s provide.

I feel the Momentum True wIreless 2’s are like what the B&O’s E8’s were supposed to promise and I was burned on the OGs so I’m very careful jumping to a brand just because it’s prior success in a different segment just because of the brand. When I went with XM3’s it was because I saw over a decade of continuous improvements Sony has made in BT headsets since their partnership with Ericsson when they made phones and accessories, like Apple had great proven success with the AirPods before I purchased the APPs. Swim header has 1 precious version so I’ll probably wait another version before I spend my money with them. Either way competition is amazing!!

Nope, definitely new sealed box. The genius also passed me to a sales person who processed the return on my original ones and then the guys from the back came out with the new box. As they also had the 14 day return period, I could just swap them again the next day after I noticed them crackling. Also scored the extra lightning cable!

The ANC on my pair is now no different than having it in the off mode. Add to that the clicking noises (coming from the right earpiece only) and the fact that it now takes me six or seven tries to get them to connect to my iPhone, and it all adds up to a very foolish purchase.

Trade them in and buy some Samsung pods.

Reports on Reddit suggesting there is a new firmware out, version 2D3. I’ve only seen mention of it on people who have received a replacement AirPod from Apple and it’s only the 2nd Gen that has the firmware so far so maybe Apple are being cautious before rolling it out.

Get a replacement pair...clearly they're malfunctioning...

Where are you seeing this? There was a few reports that turned out to be fake a while ago.

Googled it. Seems this is likely a development release. So my guess is those who got it signed a NDA and Apple is experimenting.

It is just a glitch. there isn’t any update and apple will never fix anc because they don’t accept the issue and apple advisors don’t have any idea about future updates they just lie in order to close the case.

Yes. I’m sure this is it.

when i contact Apple support, some of them say they know about issues like anc, connection problems, they are working on a fix but sometimes they say they don’t know about my issues.
i am very lucky that i don’t have any glitch on my APP otherwise they would say reset APP, phone...
These people have a glitch now and they have to wait for an update, because they can’t sync or downgrade. You can go to apple store for a replacement but unfortunately there isn’t any apple store in Greece and i would have to wait for a long time for new buds like 6 weeks+
common glitches or fakes 2D3, 0B896, 2D15,3D....

Does anyone else experience a "resume issue" after 13.4 update? A single tap stops the playback. But doesn't resume for whatever reason. Worked before 13.4

I just got a replacement for a broken left AirPod today and it has 2D3 on it as well. Trying to get my Right to now upgrade to 2D3... Fingers crossed.

I hope you can update to right firmware. did you contact to apple support? they don’t have any info about 2D and you have to ask a new replacement probably. I don’t understand what is the problem but now there are 2C,2D,2B for the same product and even apple doesn’t know the current firmware?
