Omg, nearly 800 USD in Europe. Yeah, I don’t know anymore… I hope there are still refurb iPhone 14. Sounds like a better phone for a lower price if you don’t care about “AI” and can deal with the Lightning port.

I’m pretty disappointed to be honest. Been waiting for such a long time and then they ask 800 USD for their “budget” phone…. ☹️

Dealing with Lightning in 2025 is about as fun as having to type on a shattered screen.

We'll see how low the price can go with third-party retailers.

For example, the latest release of PowerBeats Pro 2 is priced at 2099 CNY at the Apple Store, but third-party retailers are selling it for 1700 CNY, which is a 20% discount at launch.

If the 16E follows the same pattern, with a 4499 CNY launch price in China, a 20% discount would bring it to 3599 CNY—just 100 CNY more than the previous-gen SE. This could be the true market price Apple is aiming for, as budget-conscious buyers are less likely to pay the Apple Store premium.

Starting at $599... LOL BYE.

At that price there's really no need for this type of device to exist, because it's not "budget" by any means. Apple could have just reduced the entry point into the standard line to $699 and called it a day. They've really lost the plot... Going from $429 starting to $599 in one generation is absolutely ABSURD. And they know it, which is why they changed the name.

AND no MagSafe?!?! What is going on...
