just had my 3rd interview yesterday for the AHA position that would start training on May 27th. it lasted about 20 minutes, and after i was told that i would hear back by phone or email in about 2 weeks. not too sure what to think!! fingers crossed!
one of the biggest posters in the first aha thread was in his fifties
I applied on the 6th of April to the College AHA programme, I haven't heard anything back from apple yet. I haven't been asked to do a questionnaire either and when I try to view the job description the job says " Job no longer available"
is that the due to the time you have to apply for it or have the places been filled?
Is it normal to be waiting so long?
Can anyone elaborate on what the tests are like during training? How many questions? what do you have to make on them? Are they iOS or Mac or both? Any info is very helpful.
I applied in November and just got the phone call regarding the first interview 2 weeks ago. So, yes, I'd say this is normal.
Can i ask when did they ask you to answer the questionnaire? Thanks
I'm pretty sure that would be a breach of their confidentiality agreement and people would get fired for sharing that information.
Im not asking for the exact questions, but maybe some of the particulars. LOL, if you think thats a breach of confidentiality, then you should look back at some of the other q&a on the thread. Numerous topics discussed that i am sure apple wouldn't want to be out there.
If nobody can talk particulars, what were your thoughts of the tests? Tough and if so, why?
I'm sure it depends on the person and the department you're hired for. If you're asking if you'll be able to just coast through it, I imagine the answer is going to be no. You're likely going to have to put in the time and effort to pass, like any other class you would take.
I probably should have been more specific. I've been reading through the past posts the last few days and found a little bit of info on the tests. Some have said the tests were very tough and I am just trying to find out more as to why? One guy said he knew apple products well and failed the test. Others said it was really tough overall, but doable. Just trying to find out more. I know I won't coast through it all, wouldn't expect to. However, with one not passing a test and being fired, its a serious matter. Everyone here is excited and pumped about the interview and getting hired, but if the tests are as tough as others say and the consequence for not passing is getting fired...yeah, I definitely want to know more.
I just got a word back about BGCHK and was moved forward. Yipeeee!!!! I don't know if it's real just yet lol.

What do y'all know about the landline thing? My recruiter stressed that I can't live in a dorm due to needing a land line. But a girl just told me her recruiter person said they're phasing that out and it isn't required so I can stay in the dorms.
Great news! how were you notified?
The person I interviewed with said that they will be using an in-houe VOIP client from now on so I wouldn't need to worry about it.

Long time lurker. How long does it take to hear back about the BGC. I filed mine on 4-11 and have yet to hear anything. I called HireRight last Friday to which they said it was completed on 4-15. My applicant account and my recruiter both are saying in progress for the BGC. I am supposed to be with the May 12th class and I'm worried they won't give me enough time to put my 2 weeks in with my current employee. Is this a normal amount of time to hear back from them?
