Apple employees don't even wear suit and tie. I'd go with a nice polo or button up and jeans.

Yea, I know. Both my interviewers had on t-shirts. Like I said, there is no right or wrong dress code, only personal preference. I like to always be professional when doing business or work related things.

I'm sorry if this a stupid question but I'm just a bit nervous, Should I wear a suit jacket, shirt and tie or just a shirt and tie to the Facetime interview?

I've never had an online interview before and have no idea what the dress code is?

I interviewed in person (for an in-store retail position - which I didn't get) and for the At-Home-Advisor position, that I got (Yay!) and both times I wore business casual attire - short sleeve polo (AHA) & plaid collar shirt (in-store). Ironically, on my 3rd FT interview I wore pink button up. The interviewer also had on a pink shirt, along with pink hair. (I never wear pink). Like I said, I got the job!

Wear biz caz but worry more about impressing the interviewer with your answers.
That's more important.

So I have a question for current and/or former AHA employee's, and anyone else who could offer any advice if they would like.

I really wanted to get into the chat position because of the graveyard shift hours. However I was never contacted for that position, so I'm thinking about applying for phone's. My only problem is, everyday I am not available until 11:30pm. About 2 days out of the week I could only work til about 6:30, and on Sunday's I could only work between about 1:30 and 5:30.

So I was wondering what type of hours they generally offer, and what hours are most popular or the hardest to get? Also, how many hours does part time generally work a day? Is it relatively easy to find someone to switch their hours with you, or is it near impossible? I was just pondering these questions and trying to see if I should go ahead and give it a try, or not even bother wasting mine nor Apple's time with my application.

Any input is DEFINITELY welcome, and if you need to PM me, please do!!

I was employed with them for phones a little while back. I had to quit (totally hated having to) after a short while because I was working from 9am til 8pm and had no child care. You can't bid on shifts initially, you have to wait a while, but you can switch with those willing to switch with you. It's almost impossible in my opinion, if you have a crappy schedule, no one is going to want to switch with you. Everyone wants Friday and Saturday off. If you can't offer them that, there's really not many willing to switch. I'm so glad the chat position opened up. I applied in Feb and it took them until the end of April to contact me. Maybe they'll still contact you.

Thanks so much for your reply!

Were you full time or part time? I have no problem working on Fridays and Saturdays, however 9am - 8pm wouldn't work out for me!
I applied for the chat position in February as well, but I am starting to lose hope as it seems most have already gotten their job offer and I haven't seen anyone get a call for a 1st interview recently :/. I would still love for them to contact me, but currently still looking for other opportunities since it's not guranteed.

At Home advisor part time college position

So it took from th 16th of April when I submitted my application to the 1st of May to receive an email from the recruiter to ask was I interested in the position with the attached conditions. I confirmed I was the same day. Friday the 2nd I was emailed to tell me that I would have to complete an online technical assessment using Hirevue. I had til Tuesday 6th. I completed it Sunday 4th. It was 33 questions and took me about an hour. There was one question that I couldn't answer with confidence as I was not familiar with the technology, it was a cabling question I think. But I just answered upfront that I didn't know but gave the info I did have on the topic. The rest of the questions were fine, once you got over the heart palpitations and adapted to speaking to yourself basically! I have no idea how I will get on, I have to pass this to progress but without any insight to the standard of candidates it's hard to gauge. I have a a lot of work experience in a technical background but I am back in education. I know to everyone was contacted, so am presuming its my work experience that has stood to me. Waiting now to hear if I passed the tech test, it will kill me if its another 2 to 3 week wait!

You're very welcome. I was full-time. Hopefully you get the chat position or a good schedule for phones. Some people do luck up the first time and get an awesome schedule.

16th of April? are you in UL by any chance ;) ? I had the very same process! I did the Tech Test on saturday, but i messed up some of the questions and knew the answers after the tech test was over "L'espirit de l'escalier", so i'm highly doubtful that I will get through but I hope I pulled a pass. I tried preparing by reading on here but there was completely different questions that I had never seen asked on here before, so that kind of shocked me. I know the cabling question you're on about, but if thats all you feel you were shaky on I'd say you did grand,
Best of luck with the rest of the process! :D

Just finished 3rd interview

Hi, I just finished my 3rd interview and she ended the call with "You should hear from us in one or two weeks." The first two interviews ended with confirmation that I was moving on in the process.

For those who have recently been given a contingent offer, how did your 3rd interview end?

I was told that they expect completely open availability and if that isn't possible then the job isn't for you. I'm just hoping to get a schedule that doesn't conflict with anything or that any conflicts can be rearranged.

It was too many questions to recall. One that stood out is "How would you change your approach with a customer who isn't understanding what you are saying"

My response was to lower the tech speak and treat the screen like a picture.

I had my 3rd interview yesterday with a team manager and he told me he would pass along my information to the recruiters...I think it went well. He told me I seemed happy all the time and would love to have someone like me on his team. Really excited, but also nervous about waiting. He said one to two weeks and I should know something...here we go...

You will probably hear from your recruiter in a couple of days..depending on how fast your recruiter is. I was told the same thing and got a call the following morning :)
