Hello, I am new to this forum and I am hoping an AHA can help me. I was recently hired with a start date of 3/23, but I am confused on my internet speed. I thought I was told 5 mpbs download and 1 mpbs upload, I am great on the download but I cannot pass .70 on the upload. My question is how important/correct is the upload speed. I am so excited to be joining Apple. Thank you!

I was told 10 down and 2 up.

It's 5MBPS down and 1 MPBS up. You will need to screenshot your TM a speed test. So contact your ISP and see what can be done. Or, you can try switching to CAT6, making sure you're using a DOCSIS3 rather than DOCSIS2 modem/router etc...

Good luck!

Maybe. Did they say they were moving you up to the third interview? If so, I'd say you're good. The recruiter I had said the same thing, and I ended up getting an email a few hours later. :)

It is defintely 5Mbps download and 1Mbps upload.

Oh wow. Maybe it's because I'm through Kelly? I don't know why they'd require higher though. Either way, my speeds are okay.

§ High-speed internet is required for the position and must meet a minimum standard of 10 mbps download and 2 mbps upload. You must have enough bandwidth to run all applicable Kelly/Apple systems while in your position; if your internet speeds are not sufficient, you may need to upgrade your service in order to continue with the position.

Hey everyone.

New guy jumping into the mix, as well. I applied for 3 different positions, two on the 9th and one just yesterday. Throw me into the mix of people who are anxiously awaiting some kind of response (aside from the automated one after submitting).

I applied for the non-college positions, so I'm guessing that's what Pro is. Are all of these full time or part time? I applied for Customer Relations, AppleCare, and Chat.

I need your good karma/luck vibes!

Edit: I also applied for this job (standard applecare at home advisor) back in 2013 under a different Apple ID I had and after getting one of those auto-mated emails saying they wanted more info from me (already included a cover letter and resume) I never heard anything from them after that. I'm at a different point in my life when this job would be extremely helpful!

Also, on top of all that. Do any of you think it's worth it to apply through Kelly, as well? Is anything different, hours, pay, responsibilities than Apple itself?

Dont know if they will send a reply if they passed on you. First time I sent an application was on the 27th of Feb...still no word. Did the same as you, resume/cover letter and also applied for chat and applecare. Here's hoping we hear back! Good Luck! :)

I feel you. I've read people receiving a response in ~ 3 hours and some around 3 months. I don't know what to think and it's hard to wait to hear about a potential job.

I'll keep you updated, please do the same for me!

And good luck to you too! Positive feelings and vibes going out to you! :)

I applied through Kelly and got hired on. Pay is lower at $10/hr. Training for me starts the 25th and is M-F from 10am - 7pm est. Hours will be given after training and will be during call center hours of 7am and 12:30am est.

2/20 - applied
2/23 - phone interview
2/26 - hiring packet and I-9 sent in
3/6 - phone call with official offer, email with training schedule

Thanks! Keeping my fingers (and everything else possible) crossed! Less than 3 months would be ideal ;) haha

Interesting, Kelly seems to move much faster but also pays lower from what I've read. Which doesn't make a whole of sense for doing the same job, except I read they hire you on a "temporary" basis...even if you're looking for longer employment.

Wow, well then I can't really be disappointed when times goes by and I hear nothing. I can't believe some people just get emails out of the blue still asking..."hey, remember that job you applied to like 6 months ago. Yeah...you still interested?" Only Apple could do that and have people be like...uh, yeah I'm still interested.

Haha, well I'm glad it worked out for you in the long run anyway! :D

I went back and looked through my emails & it liked 9 days being 7 months from when I applied and got the email asking if I was still interested. Absolutely unbelievable. Makes me feel all that more humble and fortunate!!

Its a temp/staffing agency, but my recruiter said the Apple position is long-term and has no end date.

I had read in either these 90 pages or the 400+ pages that was in another thread that through Kelly it was a one year agreement & at the end of that one year Apple decided whether or not to renew the contract/agreement.

I could be mistaken. I've read so many pages and threads it's all starting to run together!

I am happy to report that I have been offered a position, contingent on a background check of course. Does anyone have an idea of how long this process will take?

I submitted all of my info on 3/9/15 to HireRight. I checked the status of it a couple days later and it looks as tho the report is complete, but I have yet to hear back from my recruiter. Being patient is killing me haha.

Are you able to actually pull up the report and look at it? Are there any discrepancies listed?

Is having a job detrimental

I've applied for several AHA positions over the past year. I am currently working at a Premium Provider (Apple Certified) store and service center providing in-person and phone support and troubleshooting, as well as training.

I have close to five years experience in this position, and I really want to work for Apple as an AHA. I've got a really good cover letter and all that good stuff, my work experience is very relevant, but I haven't heard a peep out of Apple and don't know whether my luck is just horrific, or if working at an Apple Premium Provider is actually detrimental to my applications.

I type over 100wpm, great written and verbal communication skills, multitasking maven, hard worker, wonderful phone voice, very high success rate in troubleshooting issues for Apple customers, and I shower regularly. I feel like I'm applying into a black hole.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. I'm clueless.

I have told this to quiet a few people already. I first applied several years ago and didn't hear a thing. Applied again over the summer, still didn't hear a thing. Out of no where after first of the year got an email from them. So I don't know that there is a rhyme or reason to the madness.

I have seen some people say they applied to every city for AHA and not hear back. Or people apply and never get a call or email then make a new Apple ID and apply under it and get a call within a few hours. All I know to say is like anything in life, if working for Apple is something you truly want, don't give up, keep applying, and maybe add to what lengths you have went to in your cover letter. From my experience they really like it when someone is enthusiastic & excited about Apple products and a company as a whole. Good luck & I hope you eventually get that call or email you are hoping for.
