Oh my gosh! What a turnaround. Been thinking of your situation. You must be on cloud nine.
So, was the verification finally completed? What was the resolution?
The county responded Monday evening around 10pm. I got rejection email late Sunday evening. Her phone call today made me cry. I'm so happy!!!
My friend was interviewed for CPU and was told that the start date would be 11/5 .

When I got the rejection email Sunday evening I was soooooooo depressed. This phone call meant the world to me!
I'm sure you were. And rightly so. This would have eaten you up for a LONG time. It's one thing to not make it past the interviews, but some unverifiable bs, come on.

So, HireRight claims they are waiting for a response from a county that I haven't lived in for over 10 years. Because it is a small county, I called to see how long it normally takes them to respond. The court clerk was super nice. She said she hadn't received anything from HireRight. She said they could fax the request and she would complete it the same day. I called HireRight back and was told that there isn't any information available as to where the request was sent for the county. Um, it could only have been to one place...Then, she says that it's noted that the request is in "delayed" status due to something going on at the court. I told them I had just gotten off of the phone with them, and that is an absolute lie. I was told that they would email the person doing that section of the background check and to check for an update in 24 hours.
At least it looks like people are getting called. It may all depend on the HR rep and their schedule/backlog and what team we might be changed to, etc.
guys don't just sit there and wait for apple's slow asses to get back at you. be proactive and keep job seeking , you don't know what opportunities you're missing out on. generally apple has been taking about a month or so to hire people . that's a month worth of opportunities ya'll aren't keeping an eye out for.
in less than a week i've gotten 3 interviews , 2 of which are VERY well payed and have better benefits than Apple
