There's no koolaid in the big box.I just want to say had the paperwork call today and they mentioned digital or analog phone line is fine! No VOIP like vonage or magic jack.
I really really would like to know the desk requirements. Can someone please let us know or PM me? I need to budget for whether or not I'm going to need to purchase a desk. I have a large L desk and also a 3.5 feet long desk. I know we need a chair with adjustable arms. Is any chair with adjustable arms fine, or will it need to be more specific?

don't take it as gospel, but in the requirements for the role section, I'm pretty sure I simply saw "desk & 5-pronged based office chair capable of adjustment" being the most specific description..
Judging by the size & weight of the big box, is it 21.5 or 27? At my last call centre job we used 2 x 21" widescreen monitors to navigate various systems & web pages, for example we ALWAYS had the billing & order management client on its own screen as the toolbar that was used to manage the inbound traffic needed to always be present and the other for everything else...

Getting concerned now. It's been a week since HireRight completed my BG check and I haven't heard back. Someone from Apple contacted me to verify something, and I sent it, but now I can't reach her by phone so I don't know what's going on. How long did you all wait after the Background Check?
I received my offer letter on 30th Oct around 9pm CST...
Scheduled my Paperwork Session for next week... Awaiting my packets to arrive via overnight FedEx...
For those concerned about the 100 mile city range... I was informed that it did not matter where you were located anymore... In fact I am planning to relocate immediately proceeding training and before the first day of work...
Also for those who are still waiting on the background check... offer calls... etc... Be patient... I experienced the same anxiety and impatience... No news is good news... If you haven't received a rejection letter yet you're still in the running... I've read on here that it could take up to a month and possibly up to two weeks before your start date...
Finally... can anyone who has begun training give us an idea of the hours and days off... I know it may vary per class... but just looking for an idea...
Same goes for those who have started working... What kind of shifts are you being assigned to right off the bat...?

Which previous model? the 2011 SandyBridge i5 release? couldn't imagine they'd give something older..
and when you aren't working, you can't use it, right? do you think they'd have disabled a few things or maybe ship with a custom OS/Locked Skin? Hmmm

Previous model as in not the new thin versions that were just released.
They are new computers but not the latest version that was just released.
I haven't opened up the small box, so not sure about that.
There is a special box in the imac box though.
