Well I called them back to ask for an email link to be sent to me, and this guy told me that my background was actually 99% complete. I have no idea what 1% of anything is holding me up, but again, it makes me nervous.

I had to call HireRight 3 times before I got any satisfaction

----------

I received my offer letter on 30th Oct around 9pm CST...

Scheduled my Paperwork Session for next week... Awaiting my packets to arrive via overnight FedEx...

For those concerned about the 100 mile city range... I was informed that it did not matter where you were located anymore... In fact I am planning to relocate immediately proceeding training and before the first day of work...

Also for those who are still waiting on the background check... offer calls... etc... Be patient... I experienced the same anxiety and impatience... No news is good news... If you haven't received a rejection letter yet you're still in the running... I've read on here that it could take up to a month and possibly up to two weeks before your start date...

Finally... can anyone who has begun training give us an idea of the hours and days off... I know it may vary per class... but just looking for an idea...

Same goes for those who have started working... What kind of shifts are you being assigned to right off the bat...?

Just recieved my welcome email from my TL.

Between my equipment and that, things are getting real.

Good luck on Monday, kool-aid!

I'm getting anxious with one more week to go! Nervous about the tests... the phone calls.. etc. I think if we pay attention, the tests will be fine (hopefully)... and I think once we get used to the calls, it'll be great. It's REALLY scary to quit your full time job and risk something like this, but hopefully worth it..

You will have to let us know how it goes!

Right... I explained my situation to my recruiter when I received my offer call and they said it was best to move after training was completed and before the actual job starts... as I originally applied for the position in the city I'll be relocating to...

Both keyboard and mouse are wired.

I know what's in the special box not going to spoil it for others.

Anyone know if all our benefit stuff is online or not?

Please spoil it for me. PM me. ALso, do they give us an Apple shirt to wear since we are doing skype calls.

As far as I know, no discounts on iphones.

Discounts do NOT apply to iPhones.

You don't do Skype calls as part of your job. You do make appearences occasionally in front of your instructors and other classmates, but not with customers. Be prepared to bust your butt in training.

My advice to get through training

Regardless of your background, whether you have IT certs, a solid Mac background, or never owned an Apple product in your life. Pay attention, do assigned training modules, pay attention, take good notes ( a tough skill if you are rusty) pay attention.

You will be tested, and they are timed, and they are not easy. Some will say it's a piece of cake, and maybe for you it will be, but trust me, the majority of the you and the class you are with will have a fairly tough time. Some will not make it through and will wash out for failing tests.

You will work with your classmates, and you will get a chance to take live calls with a training mentor there to guide you, but even with the mentor, it is pretty overwhelming and you will be wondering how you will ever learn all of it.

Apple is a cool company to work for, and the benefits are great.

Pay attention, take good notes, ask questions if you don't understand and you can make it through. It moves VERY quickly, so hang on tight.

Good luck!

I am prepared to do well on the tests.
Hopefully we have plenty of time to do them.

The key I have heard is research skills.

So today HireRight says my background is complete and that they will be sending it over to Apple today. I tried to get them to send me a link, and they told me to call back Monday for it. I figure with Apple just getting it today, the chances of me actually being called today are pretty slim.

As of right now, Apple has 1 week from today to call me in time for me to give a two week's notice at my current job for a start date of 11/26.

It seems the closer it all gets, the more nervous I get. :)

I can almost guarantee you that you won't be in the 11/26 class. I assume it will be after 12/3.

Got the mypage email this morning as well.

Too bad we don't get Apple badges. :-(

I can tell you for sure that the source and wellness are internet based.

You have a book in the imac box that has all the company sites and says which ones you can access from home.
