Finally got my I-9 verified at the Apple store today but the store was super crowded with the iPad Mini arrival today! The manager that verified my paperwork took foreeeeever and she said that the fax went through but when I contacted HR, they said they didn't get it and of the course the manager was already on her way out the door! So they suggested I scan them and email to them since everything was verified and signed which worked great. They also stated that they don't always receive the faxes reliably but that email almost always works flawlessly. (Just an FYI) Just glad everything was filled out correctly and I didn't have to go back on Monday. Received the fedex label via email in about 5 minutes, printed it out and took everything to FedEx and shipped it back. Whew! Glad all of that is done! Now to wait on those boxes....

It's a pretty fun job. The only advice I can give you is show your passion for Apple as much as possible. Don't lie, they see right through that, but they can sense if you just have the passion for the products. That's how I got hired. When I did my interview, my boss said she interviewed person after person who just talked, but when she asked me about my iPad, I immediately pulled it out and started demoing my textbooks and apps with enthusiasm. Se later told me that's what got me the position.
Anyway, if you do get hired, you get a free trip to Cupertino for training, the Macbook Pro, some shirts and a jacket. It's a pretty sweet job.

I also checked my wired coax line (internet via cable modem) in my home office and the internet does NOT WORK! Having a cable technician come out tomorrow. I encourage everyone to test these things in advance!
