I'm going crazy, waiting for an email from Apple. I've never wanted an email so badly for an interview. I currently work from home as a contractor I make anywhere between 2-5K a month but I want a real employment job.
I have to work crazy hours most days over 18 hours. Not much time for family. Apple will give me a more of a life, a day to day operation and I need that.
I would to no longer doing my contractor position but it would always be there if something happened and I no longer worked for Apple. I do phone support now. You would think with the holidays they would be needing more people to man the phones.
In August I applied to 20 AHA positions and heard nothing. In September I applied to 20 AHA positions under a new ID and heard nothing. In October I applied to 20 AHA positions with a new ID and tweaked cover letter and I received a call 3 days later (then I received the questionnaire which was a little backwards) and the process went very fast. I'm starting on 11/26 under team SC. And yes every day that passed from the very first time I applied was torture.
Stay positive.
Yes I am wondering If I shouldn't apply at a non Apple site like many of you. Something like Kelly Services.I've heard they pay less but that's not really a big problem for me. I just want the opportunity to work with Apple. Guess Ill with this thread
keep me busy
I only applied to Apple never to Kelly. The pay is a lot less and they don't reimburse much for phone and internet. Plus I don't believe they offer insurance. I hold the insurance for my family. Then there are the perks for working for Apple. If you have a job or income then I wouldn't apply anywhere else.
Just my 2 cents...
Has anyone gotten a deny letter from Hireright?
Some of the info they had was inaccurate and I disputed it but very disappointing after this whole process.
HireRight will not send you the deny letter but the company that requested the check will. Yes they can be very difficult to work with. Trying to explain to a person who knows nothing about you other than what is on their screen about any unique situations is an epic fail.
Depending on what is inaccurate Apple may not have an issue with it. I think they are more concerned with the criminal background information and SSN/database checks than the previous employment stuff.

Does anyone remember if we have to get the unlimited home phone package?
List only month and year and get it as close as you can. I had some problems with my background check as well. One of the problems was that I said I was a system admin and the background check revealed that my title was system analyst. I explained the slip and life went on. One of my employers was no longer reachable either. They tried my listed numbers and addresses. They finally said employer was not reachable. Then I had to submit W-2s. Either way, I got through and got hired.
Basic local phone service. Have every feature ie call waiting, caller id and voicemail turned off. They are used to doing that for a "fax only" line. Once you have the number register on the national do not call list as well as your individual state's.
I'm probably going to pay the fee to make sure it's unlisted as well.
I'm happy that my cable guy did me a favor and installed my new upgraded faster cable modem that had the digital phone line interface built in. My Internet met the requirements but I thought I'd play it safe and go a little faster.![]()
Thanks, what of the minutes?
I am a little worried i was reading some previous posts. Ive read that they will check the dates of employment. My problem is I don't remember my exact dates of when i start and ended. I know I worked at the same company for about 8 years. I've also read that they may ask for proof, Something I'm not sure how to do due to i really didn't keep records very well at the time the employers no longer live in Michigan where I live have no idea how to get a hold of them due to they shut the company down.hard times..
I'm hoping maybe I'll have my tax records in my box. I'm sure it will show up in my background check as well. I the same company had to do a federal back ground check due to we worked with government computers. I'm not worried about the background check at all.
Any advice for me would be very much helpful. I want to be prepared.![]()
You don't need long distance. All calls are incoming.
