Hey all,

I've been visiting this site for almost 3 weeks now. Just had my 3rd interview around an hour ago. I felt I did well. Just want to thank everyone for their great input! I would be for the 6/10 class. :)

----------

I asked at the end of my 3rd interview today and she told me the 6/10 class was for IOS.

I hear the IOS dept isnt very good to be in. They say you will pull your hair out by week 3. :(

Got another call from Kelly staffing today, they said that the contingency hire has been removed because my background check came back today and it passed so I officially have the job! Woot!

Rejected!

Got the rejection letter today, although it was no surprise - knew as soon as second interview completed. lmao Micah, how'd you do today?

Anyway - question: Does anyone know of anyone else who reapplied right away and was successful in getting the gig?

I'd be interested to know what steps they took and how they addressed the issue of the initial questionaire asking "Have you applied for this position in the past year?" Emailed first recruiter days ago asking policy time frame for reapplying - no response aside from the decline email today.

Does the decline email come from a generic address or your recruiter directly? Just curious, thanks!

Can I ask what kinds of questions did you have in your 3rd interview? Mine is tomorrow and I'm trying to prepare!

Just Remember empathy.. even if your interviewer doesn't role play, make sure you have empathetic statements in your reponse to him/her...most of my questions weren't so much technical as my industry experience dictates. but just brush up on the basics troubleshooting remedies i.e how do you troubleshoot a printer that is not working; I can't connect to the internet, what do I do?; what's ram; ram vs rom; name an instance where you had to use safemode and whats safemode by the way; just some to name from my experience... skim over the chat I say, never know what he/she will throw at you...but most importantly be yourself and remember empathy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Luck,

SneekGeek

Thanks for your input. I have been doing good so far and have moved quickly through this process. I think most people had to wait weeks for interviews but I applied last wed and the next day I got the first interview, 2nd interview this past monday and now the 3rd tomorrow and I already got the Complete Official Application email. I have years of tech support and customer service so I'm not to worried just like having a heads up :D.. Thanks.. I was wondering does anyone know if you can request fulltime?

sorry sorry sorry to hear you didnt make it. well, I merrily tripped over my toes in todays interview :p I had a second computer up with cheat sheets on it and it got unplugged in the interview so I had to fish around for it and fix it. I admitted to having cheat sheets, but I really hope my enthusiasm won her over. Anyway, she said she had a bunch of interviews for the position and would not be finished until tomorrow evening.

She was very specific on that this was not a tech position but very customer service and multi-tasking type position where we would need to be able to do multiple things at once.

She did ask if I had interviewed for apple in the past year, and I did tell her the truth. Yes I had about a month ago. I have been troubleshooting ios for the past year so it was not my skills, I think I just said the wrong thing in the interview, and that is truely what I told her. (and what I believe) my favorite app this time was evernote rather than angrybirds. :p I had to google how to set up a playlist on itunes but I did and I walked her through how to do it. (yes my cheat sheet on the computer that went down)

And, I was already applying for the positions again the next day. I was told that if I saw a position that I thought was a good fit, to feel free to apply in my thanks for playing email. I called the interviewer that liked me and she told me the same thing. Maybe after my 5th time through the interview process they may just hire me out of my sheer persistence. :p

Everything moved for me just as fast including my background check which was completed the day after my final interview. Now it's going on 3 weeks and I'm still waiting on my offer call.

I've read back a few pages, but haven't found a lot of information, just people's personal timeline.

Has anybody moved from being a contractor for a staff agency and then to apple? I show at least one person did so pretty quickly, but I've been doing iOS at volt for a year now. So I figure that I should be good from a contract standpoint. Just don't want to waste my time or get my hopes up if that isn't possible.

Would some of you now employed as an AHA mind sending me a personal message(or posting) your location, department and salary? Curious to see if one department pays more than another, and what the range is.

Also, I'd really love it if somebody could give me the email address for their recruiter-I'd like to avoid getting stuck in the general backlog if possible.

Registered just for this thread. Seems like a friendly place. Hopefully I'll stick around.:apple:

CPU unit is simply the computer or Mac department. Correct, iOS is for the iPhones and pads.[/QUOT

Heyy I didn't post that, my account has been hacked or something...

TheSneekGeek- Can you please tell me what position you originally applied for? I just want to know if they moved you to the CPU group or what?

P.S. I also heard you have some top secret info and I'd love to be in your loop :p
