Got the rejection letter today, although it was no surprise - knew as soon as second interview completed. lmao Micah, how'd you do today?
Anyway - question: Does anyone know of anyone else who reapplied right away and was successful in getting the gig?
I'd be interested to know what steps they took and how they addressed the issue of the initial questionaire asking "Have you applied for this position in the past year?" Emailed first recruiter days ago asking policy time frame for reapplying - no response aside from the decline email today.
sorry sorry sorry to hear you didnt make it. well, I merrily tripped over my toes in todays interview
I had a second computer up with cheat sheets on it and it got unplugged in the interview so I had to fish around for it and fix it. I admitted to having cheat sheets, but I really hope my enthusiasm won her over. Anyway, she said she had a bunch of interviews for the position and would not be finished until tomorrow evening.
She was very specific on that this was not a tech position but very customer service and multi-tasking type position where we would need to be able to do multiple things at once.
She did ask if I had interviewed for apple in the past year, and I did tell her the truth. Yes I had about a month ago. I have been troubleshooting ios for the past year so it was not my skills, I think I just said the wrong thing in the interview, and that is truely what I told her. (and what I believe) my favorite app this time was evernote rather than angrybirds.
I had to google how to set up a playlist on itunes but I did and I walked her through how to do it. (yes my cheat sheet on the computer that went down)
And, I was already applying for the positions again the next day. I was told that if I saw a position that I thought was a good fit, to feel free to apply in my thanks for playing email. I called the interviewer that liked me and she told me the same thing. Maybe after my 5th time through the interview process they may just hire me out of my sheer persistence.
