Here is iOS issue for yoU since you seem to have free time.

With some luck you get iOS.

Here's fun link.

I feel for you.

If your told or anybody for that matter. I'd wait the 5 business days (Monday-Friday) then maybe ping them on the 6th business day.

Seems to be a lot of trust issues.

Enjoy the link.

Boy, I'm feeling less and less hopeful by the day. So many people have already been told that they were going to third interview or hired and I'm still in limbo.
I wish I wouldn't get so nervous during interviews.

AG,

I was kinda of thinking that was your background.

Here is a link to a iTunes/iOS issue, that queue must be sad.

Funny stuff

Oh, pretty much the same background as you.

Servers,Sans,SQL, and Exchange. Linux,VMware and MS 2003,2008 and Novel back in the day.

Thanks
Jed

Novell was a hoot, that's for sure. Still run across Novell/Lotus Notes installs from time to time. Talk about a clusterf*ck.

Speaking of clusterf*ck, the thread you linked to would be a cakewalk compared to some of the iTunes calls I get. The most frustrating calls aren't the angry people... it's the people that are such Luddites that they don't know what a "browser" is or know the difference between itunes.com and iTunes the application.

For anyone that values their sanity... stay far away from iOS if you can.

Lol

Lol, still see lots of lotus notes but then that's an environmental issue.

Best of Luck! Stay sane.

iTunes Chat

Is there anyone out there who has done iTunes Chat? Wondering what kind of interface they use? Hey, I am the queen of repetitive questions in my current job....:p

This thread has so few actual advisers that the odds of getting an iTunes Tier 2 chat rep to drop in are slim to none. I've done quite a few chats with the iTunes store chat line and 99% of them are, "Why am I getting a bill for $4.99?". Or, "My credit card doesn't work anymore".

You will go from being "queen of the repetitive" to "queen of the damned".

So, were her questions based strictly on customer service? What questions did she ask you, if I may ask :)

Questions I was asked for the itunes chat position:
example of working in a team (it requires asking team members for help on certain situations)
can I multitask (it requires up to 4 chats open at once)
what is my favorite app
how to set up a playlist in itunes?
what is good customer service?
give an example of that customer service?
why would I be a good fit for apple?
how would I handle someone who has not gotten their issue resolved and I am the umpteenth person they are talking to?

there were no technical questions as far as what is ram or cpu or anything like that. they look for enthusiasm, that was made clear from the get go.

have you got the itunes chat position? I have interviewed for it and was told the decision would be made tonight.

Sooooo....I've got my training on May 20, which I believe is for CPU tier 1. Should I be concerned about the training exams? One team manager on my recent paperwork call said not to sweat it, but I can't help but be a bit anxious.

New hires have 3 exams. Composing of 30-35 questions each. If you know a little, plus the training. You will ace it. If you are moving positions within the company. You do less training (I have a friend that was CPU for a year and changed to iTunes lastweek. He's only got two exams and he aced both of those. So don't sweat it!

Well I just had my last and final interview. I made him laugh the whole time and he was really nice to I'm just going to hope for the best :D.. Didn't ask me any technical stuff at all just customer service stuff. But hope it all pans out :p

What if I don't really have any experience with Macs/Mac OS but I am a fast hands-on learner? :/

Got an interview scheduled in a few days :)

I went through Kelly Services. Any one know what kind of questions they will ask?

Does anyone know the daily hours/time zone for the 5/20 class? (Perhaps the same hours apply to all trainings?) It's for 5 weeks correct? When do you receive your first schedule? Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks!!!

People!!!!! Chill out! It's all about empathy! If you have that, then great. If you don't have that much experience. Except to be taught a bit. But I would suggest to have some knowledge under your belt. Try this

Stop worrying so much!!! You got this! If you feel you did good after your third, you receive a email from HireRight. If your BGC comes clean and good. You pretty much got the job! :)

lol, sad but true.

Simple directions for managing their Apple ID, like "go to appleid.apple.com" take 15 minutes some times. You think they keyed in the URL, nope. They have a list of Google search results.

And the ones that attempt to install iTunes, but can't locate the file after it's downloaded. The worst is if there's no option to "Run" the file and the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-J doesn't bring up the browser download folder.

I'm so thankful for Mac owners who call in. It's like night and day.

I have 7 months in. Don't know if I can reach the 1 year mark. And this is only doing 20 hours/week. It's that painful now.

So had my last interview at 1pm and about 3:30pm received the Hireright email for the background check. I feel pretty confident :D

I have more problems with getting people to go to appleid.apple.com than what you'd think is possible. I almost always end up sending them to google. Then there's the constant "session timeout" issue with Internet Exploder on Apple's web sites and very few people have Firefox or Chrome installed.

I'm actually shocked that I'm still doing this after 7 months... It's a horrific job for someone that has prior IT experience. And yeah, no way could I do this full time... 20 hours is soul crushing enough.

iTunes chat

Micah -

Whats the difference between this position and the care position? Is it entirely done in chat? any phone work too? pay the same? did they give you any pertinent info during your interview? interview process same? etc etc?
