I have a quick question for someone that has gone through the paperwork phone call and has already been to an Apple store for them to fill out one of the forms. If you could P.M me just because I want a double check something. Thanks. :)

Wow! You are a lot more patient then I am lol. If I don't receive my acceptance email by Friday, I am going to email my recruiter. I get paranoid that maybe they sent it and I accidentally deleted it! But I know that did not happen because I thoroughly look before I delete!

Yeah, I'm going to give them through today and contact my recruiter tomorrow if it doesn't come through - that will have been day five (two more than was originally stated).
I've noticed in this thread that others have waited four days for the email offer so don't think this is too unusual. Will certainly feel better once it arrives though....

Okay so this question goes for the people that have gotten their paperwork already. Im sending mine off tomorrow but my question is about the Personal Information Notice paper. I think they mentioned this in the conference call but I forgot but do I leave the "Date of hire" blank? I know I leave the "Employee number" blank because I havent got that yet but for date of hire, do I put my start date or just leave it blank?

Taby, Garland is my hometown. Born & bred. Haha :) Its a small world! I'm in Plano now though but only a short drive away from G-Town. :D

O wow. It is very small. And that's the second time I've heard "g-town" today. I called Ntta today and some guy called it that. That's new to me. Btw I went to the apple store off 75 & Knox for verification. Not a good choice. I turned right around and went to the one in north park and met with Jenny. Best choice. Lol just a reference if you make it through.

We were told to put the training start date 9/10.

I'm hoping my tiny experience on Apple computers won't count against. I applied directly to Apple and got a recruiter letter, to which I responded. Now waiting for a phone call.

Been out of work so long I barely remember what 9-to-5 is like.

The recruiter letter mentioned 5 weeks training starting 10/8/12.

I don't know a thing about Apple products other than OSX basics. I still got hired. Granted, I do have an extensive IT/Tech support background, however. They seem to be more interested in customer service skills rather than technical skills.

I've been self-employed since '99... I'm used to working 7 days a week, what I probably could not do is work for an idiot manager in some office somewhere.

Wow they Must have hired a couple of people from the Dallas Area I applied for both the Dallas and Frisco openings and then I went on Craigslist and looked and accidentally applied for an opening in Hoover Alabama :confused: Im just south of Dallas in Red Oak about 15-20 minutes if I take 35 probably not even that long lol I was going to go to the store in North Park I called to set up an appointment but the guy I talked to said he didnt even know how to setup an appointment for I-9 Verification..... He said to still go in and just talk to one of the Managers and ask them but I was busy this weekend so didnt get a chance to go in. Ill call later today and see if I can set something up.

Submitted my background check info last night around 7pm. Called HireRight a few moments ago. Process completed. Waiting on Apple now.

Woo Hoo! Just got my offer call. Extended a pay rate of more than $15 (initial email/interview said $14). My 3rd interview was on 8/20. HireRight email received same day.

Edit: Forgot to mention I'm still in the 9/24 training class.

Thank you. It's a part-time position (20-25 hours). Preferable for me at this time. I'm full-time with Kelly now but the difference in weekly pay will only be $40 for half the time invested. I'm really disappointed that Kelly is only paying $9.15 with no benefits. As a middleman their cut is too big. I would encourage anyone doing the Kelly thing to try to transition directly to Apple.

I applied with Kelly to begin with and found out 3 days later that Apple was hiring directly and applied with them. I got all the way through the background check with Kelly and they called once to tell me they'd call back as soon as they had the Sept. training schedule. They still haven't called back but Apple hired me so the hell with Kelly. Not sure I would have done this job for $9.15 per hour anyway, that's just too low even for tier 1 tech support. Heck, I was making $23 per hour doing tier 1 tech support in the mid '90s.

If your questionnaire from an Apple recruiter asked if you would be available to begin training on 10/8, keep us posted on when you get your phone call after you respond!

Not that I'm antsy or anything.

So I got my offer call last Wednesday, in which they said I would get the offer email by Monday (yesterday). I just received an email from someone from Apple with a forwarded offer email that was dated the 24th, which would have been Friday, that I never received. I have been checking junk folders, everything so everyone awaiting offer emails BE ON THE LOOK OUT. If you got a call last week, and haven't received the offer email, I'd contact them. Just a heads up.

I'm in my third week of training with Kelly. The level of work that is required is too much for $9.15/hour. It's not like people are calling in to pay their cell phone bill and maybe question a billing charge here and there. And the level of customer satisfaction that Apple requires adds to the intensity.

Just curious.... who is facilitating the training with Kelly: Kelly staff or Apple staff or both? BTW, CONGRATS FOR THE well, huh, PROMOTION! ....or should I call it a PROMOTIONAL TRANSFER! So glad you managed to land the better job with Apple. Besides, Apple looks better on your resume and is more impressive when someone inquires about your employment. You won't have to say you work for a temporary agency (or sugarcoat it by saying you work indirectly as a contracted employee for Apple through a temporary employment agency). Most construe temp agencies as "non-traditional" employment..... Now, that's just my two cents and is not intended to offend those posters who work for Kelly as a job is better than no job at all. GREAT JOB! KUDOS to all successful posters on either side of the fence!
