That's unfortunate you were booted out like that. They always stress calling the toll-free KellyConnect number to report an absence/tardy or anything that prevents you from being in training. Did you call them when you were experiencing issues? That would have been documented.

"Practice what you preach" doesn't seem to be the philosophy of KellyConnect!

That being said, I've found Kelly to be pretty incompetent and you would not have gotten far with them anyway.[/QUOTE]

currently have a SKYPE interview today ..kind of nervous. What should i expect? It's going to be a 20 minute interview. Which questions were asked pertty frequently

They are easy questions and almost all of them are listed throughout this thread. Don't worry about answering questions, focus on being alert, friendly and enthusiastic. The woman that gave me my second and final interview hardly asked me any questions at all because I knew what most of them were ahead of time and included them in our general conversation. It lasted about 45 minutes and 2/3 of it was general chit chat about Apple and the tech industry in general. I had the HireRight login in my mailbox 2 hours later and the job offer 16 days after that.

I got my offer call last Wed and still no email. If I don't receive it by Friday, I'm going to email my recruiter.

Hey susan23 - any updates from you? Has your acceptance email shown up?

----------

Interesting....well you should definitely be on the list to receive the email before me then.... Still plenty of time I would think. They must be slammed in the processing dept.

Hi All,

Also just accepted the offer on Monday, waiting on email. My recruiter did say that they are running behind and that I should receive it by Friday but if not then early next week. My start date is also 9/24.

For anyone already started or that knows-

what are the pay cycle dates? Do we get paid weekly or bi-weekly?

How are the schedules after training if you've gotten that far? Do you get the same days off every week or does it change?

Thanks for any help.

Congrats and welcome to the 'wait'.....

Lol. Thank you Gypsee. I have been reading and it seems that it is taking a little while to get emails sent out. I will be glad to get the package though because I want to see the "benefits" that are offered. Good luck!

Thanks for the update acj757, good to know they are 'officially behind' in processing the acceptance emails and didn't just forget about some of us ;)

It seems very few, if any people return to this thread once they are hired. The one question I can answer is the one about pay. This is from the employee web site:

"At Apple, paychecks cover a two–week work period, and there are 26 regular pay periods in a year. Payday is one week after the end of each work period. You’ll receive your first paycheck one or two pay dates after you begin work, depending on your hire date."

As far as the schedule, I have no idea. My training starts 9/10 and I probably won't revisit this thread once I actually start.

Cool! you're a bit further ahead of some of us then. When did you get your verbal/email job offers?

I got the verbal on 8/24 and was told to expect the email 2 -3 days later/
I got the email on 8/28/12 at 4:02PM CST.
I got the FedEx paperwork the next morning.

I can also tell you the Next paydat for Apple is 8/31 then 9/14 and then 9/28.

I got Hired and dont start till 9/17. I have done every step and and only waiting for my equipment. I will try to answer as much as I can without getting myself in trouble. I dont recall signing a NDA yet so I think I can still give some vague info if I can. So I am not trying to vanish just yet.

There was no NDA form as of yet but I imagine that one of those as well as a non-compete will show up at some point. I'll post info. if I can but it seems everyone that posted in this thread early on disappeared once they actually started training.

Where the heck are you? Isaac didn't even reach Haiti until Sat. and would have had zero effect on the continental US until after the weekend when it approached the southern tip of Florida. I can understand internet outages but if someone told me Isaac was responsible for connection problems late last week I would have called BS unless they lived in the Caribbean somewhere.

That being said, I've found Kelly to be pretty incompetent and you would not have gotten far with them anyway.

I live in Florida. How about you? We started getting winds and rain from Friday. We got over 2 feet of rain by Saturday. We also officially got the back end of the storm on Sunday. My power went out Sunday Night and was back on Wednesday when I wrote my comments. No need to call BS Because after a storm and before you feel the effects. Exactly how far do you think Haiti is from Florida? It is a 30 minute plane ride and Jamaica is 45 mins. It started here, after, Haiti in the Keys which is at the end where Miami is and it came frome the side not directly from the bottom . This is not my first rodeo with a storm been here since Andrew. :) Just wanted you to know that is all. Also unless you live here you can not say that the weather would have zero effect. When there is a blizzard in northern states we feel it too.

No. I was in the middle of a timed test and did not know what was happening. I was typing to my trainer and talking to her through the eluminate session because at first I thought the system was just slow. They use a trraining system called Ilog and it takes over 10 minutes to load on a good day so they tell you to skip questions on the exam and come back to them and by then it should be working. So i figured it was just slow until safari just completely shut down. I had let her know it slowing in the beginning and we were trying to screen share which went no where. I am over it though I just thought it wasn't fair. Thanks for asking though

Taby, dallasd, deja vue! Dallasd, I sent you a private email. Taby gives very good insight on how to overcome this obstacle. I've pinned her the "Apple Advocate" for this forum! Read some of her previous postings.

Thanks for the info

Dang im sorry to hear that but I hope all goes well with apple. I'm sure you'll enjoy that more than Kelly anyway.

Thanks, I agree if I get through that would be great if not I will move on no worries

... It started in the Keys which is the other direction which is at the end where Miami is. This is not my first rodeo with a storm been here since Andrew. :)....

I lived in Miami for almost 19 years and weathered Hurricane Andrew also. I slept through the entire storm for I prayed if I was not going to survive it, I preferred to die in my sleep! My sister-in-law was astounded about my deep sleep mode amongst all of the foundation trembling, tree-cracking and other turmoil and turbulence from the storm effects (and she said I was snoring too! LOL). I was one of the blessed ones that made it through with little damage or post-complications. Unfortunately, I could not say the same for many friends....
