I think that is correct. The At Home Connect has 48 hours of back-up battery, and you can always rechearge it in your car or something...I hope it will work!

I assume this is just for you to be able to communicate with your manager etc? I can't imagine that you would still be taking support calls if your iMac is down and you have no power etc.

Woohoo! I just got my offer call! I will see you oct 1st!

Congratulations!

No, that is what a cell phone would be for. I'm thinking it will work for incoming calls. Obviously if the power goes out the imac will not work. Its a way to have a completely portable landline number.

Health Ins.

By chance, is there any mention of health insurance benefits in the materials you've received thus far?

my update

WoW...That's what happened to my friend and thats exactly what the email said. So sorry to hear that! I don't understand why they would do that.

Well I get kinda an update, sort of, I found out that when they did my SS trace the company listed six places I live, four of them were places that I have never been. In fact currently I am living in a different state then I really live in according to hireright. It also shows that I lived in a different state then I worked in at the time of all my jobs. I am wondering if this would effect my ability to get the job. I contacted apple to let them know, but they just ignore any and all emails.

This is just a guess but I don't think they're worried about your ability to do the job. What may concern them, however, is sending someone with a sketchy residence history $1300 worth of equipment.

Yea, but what I am saying is HireRight messed it up, and I couldn't get ahold of anyone anywhere to fix the mistake. I haven't lived in the places they said I lived in.

Doesn't HireRight have a process to formally dispute findings?

This is from an article that was in both the NYT and Washington Post

"In a complaint filed on behalf of the FTC by the Justice Department, the government alleged that HireRight broke the law when it failed to assure the accuracy of its screening reports, give consumers copies of their reports or investigate disputes raised by consumers about information in their reports."

Good luck trying to get somewhere after they mess up.

Ha it crossed your mind that maybe your identity has been used by someone else? Maybe someone has access to your social and has been using your name.

I'd get ontop of this ..
