I'm just really curious if anyone on here is from PA. It seems to me that the job has been posted at least 3 times and I'm wondering if there has been any contact from Apple.

Thanks everyone.

Congrats to those who were hired and good luck to all still going through the process.:)

Columbus, Ohio here but a lot of people on this thread seem to be from Texas.

Question: I'm currently using Verizon for my existing land line. It's a digital signal as opposed to the old analog style - not through the computer - through the wall phone jack. Planning to install the second line for Apple work - for those who have done this, am I on the right track?

Digital is fine.

What about the Verizon At Home Connect box?? It uses a cellular signal, this would be great because you would have the same number and it would be portable??

I believe it has to be a dedicated telephone number since the calls are going to be inbound. Nobody can have the number its only use is for the incoming calls if I heard them correctly.

It is a dedicated line. I have never used it, but it would be great for people who have the option of working from a different location. I know we will probably go over all of this again in orientation on Monday, as it seems this is one of the most discussed issues on the forums.

I think the main thing is that it just has to be available in case of a power outage that's probably why they don't want voip. As long as it doesn't require power to make calls I think you should be good.

i think the main reason is because VOIP in general is not reliable. the quality fluctuates between calls and days. that's why sometimes when you call support for some companies and they're using VOIP it sounds like they're on a cell phone.

a lot of people from OHIO as well. im surprised they're hiring people from OHIO . they're pretty rude up there

I think that is correct. The At Home Connect has 48 hours of back-up battery, and you can always rechearge it in your car or something...I hope it will work!

It's Mac and iPad for the HUGE once every 3 year discount. Other than that, I have to dig out the paperwork but I think you can buy any product at 25% off 3 times per year. Don't quote me on that but if you google around you can find the employee discount specifics. You can't use it until you have 90 days in so I'm sure you'll be pretty familiar with it by then.

What's typically the turn around time from second recruiter call until we get email for hiring manager interview? I had FaceTime interview Wednesday evening and was told I was being sent to hiring manager and will receive email Thursday. It's now 3pm Friday and I've yet to receive email :(

I'm not sure you can work from a different location. It was stressed in my new hire call that you had to get manager and HR approval to work from an address different than the one you have listed as your home.

It's still early in the day. I'm sure you've been checking your spam folder.

Thanks. I am sure all of these questions will be clear as can be in the next few days/weeks.
