anyways i did end up getting the job, but through Kelly Services and not Apple directly. Been working as an iOS Advisor for 4 months now.

How do you like it? Are you getting full 40 hrs?

Does anyone who got this position have 40 hrs now? I'd be taking a cut in pay if I went part time, even with more money per hour.

I am still waiting to even hear back. They keep posting about how they are looking to hire in my area. Nothing comes up after I sent in my application last monday. I do believe a ton of people have to be sending in applications, because this posting started April 17th 2012 in my area.

Are you a college student? I had my second interview yesterday. He told me they are going to email the Q/A i have to complete or call me about them. Training starts June 25th. An Apple Recruiter contacted me first through Indeed.com

At home Apple iOS advisor through Kelly Services

Hey there guys. So I submitted my resume to Kelly Services, and they called me today to set up a phone interview for tomorrow. I have worked for Apple before through a call center called Stream Global Services, and I am concerned that I didn't put the correct dates on my resume. :/ Hopefully that will not impact my chances. Anyway, can anyone give me an idea of what to expect, and maybe some pointers? Thanks a bunch!

Hey Apple AHA people.

I never did an update. So I was getting a bit on the worried side, usually it never takes longer than a day for me to get a reply once I submit a resume.

It did take from May 16th to May 25th, in order to get a reply. I got it on friday from an Apple Recruiter. I did Apple AHA Pro. I am in college, but decided the PRO was the best route. I have an interview tomorrow (Wednesday May 30th 2012) . Wish me luck.

Is this your second interview or your first one?

It is not really that bad. they make you feel pretty comfortable. just remember customer service, the customer is first. They will ask you some 2 or 3 tech questions. pretty easy, just relax.

I finished the interview a little bit ago, it went great. About an hour later I received an email requesting that I set up the Second Interview with the Hiring Manager.

So Thats Later During the Week.

Oh, and the interview was comfortable. The recruiter was nice and polite and understood my humor. I tend to crack a joke from time to time about things to make us both comfortable which worked. I kept serious and attentive, but we both chuckled from time to time.

It was nice to see that second email in the mailbox. I am definitely excited, but not trying to count my eggs before they hatch.

Unsure of pay and things yet, I am guessing that is figured out during the Second Interview.

Alright, Well Thanks in Advance for the heads up on the info. Good Luck hearing back from them. My fear is the background check. Never fail those, but usually the call centers I have worked at. Hire me same day as interview, start the following week Monday after drug and background check on Friday-Saturday.

So Apple has about 25 days between interviews and the start of a class to check our backgrounds ...

Yeah, It was stated that I had been placed in the class for June 25th. Not to expect any word back for about a week or so. I received the hire right link just a little bit ago. So I am going to finish that, Right Away.

A question

Hi. I have applied several times and have not received any type of response, automated or personal. I am wondering if I am missing something on the entry or just not what Apple is looking for. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Not so sure if it is have to be in college or graduated. If you sign up for Pro, if it is different. A friend got to talk to a recruiter and they are running on a GED (Of Course Though Have Had 3 Call Center Tech Prior Jobs)...of course though they have yet to hear back about a 2nd interview and its been a few days.

So Far For Me Though, I am just waiting on next step. I was to wait to hear back near end of this week. I filled out my hireright forms already. I do believe I never murdered anyone xD. lol.

awesome! fingers crossed! My recruiter called me and told me background check cleared. It took about a week later after I heard back from my recruiter when i filled out my background check. Did you apply for the corporate job or student? An Apple recruiter got a hold of me first before i even applied for the corporate position. I wonder if the training is one on one or they will have us in a virtual class.

The recruiter marked down that it was going to be a virtual classroom.

I signed up for pro on the main site, when I received the link to fill out the application again, It did not say if it was pro or not. :|...So that 2nd time you fill out the application. It could be either or. Not sure on that one.

They know I am in school, but I told them it was better for me to sign up for Pro.

Can you use the imac for other things other than work or is it strictly for working?

----------

Do they let you use the Imac for other things or is it strictly for work use??
I got a 17 inch white iMac, though in most cases you'll get a 22 inch aluminum iMac if your hired from this point on (the advisors with the older imacs will get upgraded ones at the end of April). I still work there but i'm looking for another job at the moment. Its a great job with lots of overtime potential and schedule flexibility but i'm looking for something more IT-oriented and less to do with customer service. call center work can be stressful. The pay is $9.15 /hr which is ok for a part-time student living with parents like myself but even i'm looking for something that pays more.

My one advice during the phone interview is constantly mention how your there to service the customer first and foremost. Apple is huge on customer service. Also mention stuff like first-call resolution, low call handling time, upselling potential (you aren't 'required' to sell Applecare Protection Plans, But they do expect you to mention it on every eligible call) and technology.
