My stomach keeps coffee at the desired temperature, and does it very well.

Anyway, I wouldn't touch this for any less than $500. Are they trying to make me look like a cheapskate?

Excited to launch my new product: An Insulated Mug From Target With An AirTag Taped To It. It's a steal at only $175.

It wont keep my coffee hot after I add cold half/half from the fridge. It drops the temp too much so I went back to a regular mug in the mornings. My regular ones hold more.

"... priced at $199.95.."

For ~$20, one can buy a name-branded stainless steel bottle container.
If you have a Costco nearby, you can buy a 2 set name branded stainless steel bottle containers for $20 which is a better deal.
There are some things that don't need technology to supposedly improve.

Guess some people just have a lot of extra money available to spend.

You are welcome

This has to be one of the most pointless products I’ve ever seen. It would have a use if it could boil water so you could make drinks on the go. But otherwise why wouldn’t you just get a travel mug/flask that can keep drinks hot for hours?

I'm sure this is a worthy purchase for someone, its just hard to believe that there's a big enough market to produce all these smart products. But clearly, people are buying them because they keep making them.
Right, and when one considers that there are 8 billion people in the world, there’s a LOT of money that can be made by companies that have the ability to sell products that only .1% of those people would have enough money to buy. Apple’s nailed their niche in the same way, and this company wouldn’t have to sell Apple numbers to just be profitable. :)

The good thing is that the smallest one is "only" US$129.99 and they have lovely coasters, as well.

I've got two of these, plus an Ember coffee/tea cup, but didn't pay for any of them. The company I work for bought travel mugs for marketing swag and I was gifted one when the marketing closet was cleaned out. The other travel mug and cup were giveaways from two of our vendors. So my guess is that a lot of Ember's products are being purchased by companies, not so much by individuals.

For free, for my use cases, they're fantastic. At any price above that, not so much.

Featuring a ridiculous product like this on the front page headlines only makes MacRumors look bad.

For you, sure. There’s a large number of people in the world for which “free” is what they’re worth. Fortunately, for this company, companies like Apple and others, there are people with money to spend that find value in what they produce.
