Does it have Optimized Battery Charging to prolong the life of its battery?

Does it have Low Power Mode for when your battery charge drops below 20%?

How many battery cycles does the battery last?

There are unanswered questions.

The product page in the Apple Store app is woefully inadequate.

Visit the product page of the actual manufacturer for many, many more details.

Also, some interesting screenshots, like these.

Apparently, if you lose it, you can display your number in the mug so the finder can call you. At least that's what the screenshot implies.

If you think this item is overpriced then the product is not targetting you.

There's plenty of cashed up, latte sipping, backwards gucchi hat wearing, tasteless wanna-be influencers out there that'll buy this.

Can I still drink the liquid poured in before the software stops updating? Can Ember stops me from drinking the warm Water heated just before they announce software support is no longer provided? Can I use this mug as, you know, a mug? What are we at now? Companies trying so hard to make every dumb thing we use and enjoy today into any level of “smart” Crap and up-charge 200x just because it has a silicon chip inside it, and eventually lobby the hell out of everything to outlaw simple electronics?

Just like Aston441 says:
Peak civilization collapse. You are here.

$200? I prefer monthly subscriptions for my travel mugs.
I want a breathing mask that can filter air at a low Low cost of $100/mo or else I can’t breathe. (/s)
:p:rolleyes:

i have one of the non-travel mugs, it was given to me as a gift.

it's gimmicky, for sure. the notion that we would use resources to make a mug of any type with a heating element that, at best, can just keep a beverage warm for a short amount of time before charging is peak human waste.

i *will* say, it's really cool. bit of fun to be had setting the app to what you want, and recognizing the magic of the tech behind using a handheld computer with access to all the information we've ever gathered, just to tell a cup to stay warm.

and it definitely works, though i think it's better for use with tea than coffee.

i never would have bought one for myself, but it was a nice present.

same people who buy ultra apple watches or apple polishing cloths
To be fair, I would only buy the Apple Watch Ultra (if I didn’t wear a classic NATO/military Field Watch). But the value is much greater there. Not sure WHY anyone would need Find My tracking… for a coffee mug.

For that price, you can get the best Thermos money can buy that will keep your drink hot all day and still have like 150 bucks left over. This is the dumbest product I’ve ever seen. A solution looking for a problem.

Since when mugs cost $50???

What part of "best Thermos money can buy" did you miss?

This one is 45 bucks, which would be about 50 bucks after tax:

I bought one of the Ember mugs (regular sized mugs) for my wife as a present as she likes to linger over a single cup of tea for an hour or so. She really loves the mug since it keeps it hot the whole time.

It was like $90 and made a good birthday present.

For a big thermos-style container, however, I’m not sure I see the point. Especially at $200.

A good, non electric thermos will keep beverages hot for a couple hours… and who wants to drink coffee that’s been sitting “all day”? I’m not seeing the point here…
The point is that the logic circuits in your brain appear to be working. There’s plenty of people whose logic circuits are let’s say squirrelly. They want to give money away for a perceived value. The point is to take that money.

So in reality there are only two important questions that need to be answered.

1. What happens when the battery no longer holds a charge ?
2. How much will the Hermes leather cover cost; and will it be available in Hermes Orange ?
