And being able to increase/decrease that number instantly as market conditions change (instantly ramp up for coming holidays, instantly ramp down for for slow periods).

Some of the comments here are unfortunately emotional and not logical reactions.

This is a no-brainer decision on his part. As a chief executive officer who has a ***fiduciary duty*** to maximize shareholder value, it’s also the “right” decision. Morality and ethics isn’t really relevant, despite how you might feel.

Let’s be clear here. BILLIONS are spent on political campaigns, lobbying, etc. every single year, the majority of which comes from PACs to curry favor with politicians. And this doesn’t even count the money spent on soft influence, such as taking a legislator or someone on the Hill to a Nats game or a pricey dinner or on a trip.

This is kinda a non-story. Doesn’t matter whether you’re far left or far right. It’s just a different flavor of the same business-as-usual ice cream.

I understand all that, but it’s the fact that it is a non-story in the grand scheme of things that’s so troubling. I think there are major problems with how elections and campaigns are financed, and it’s a big problem in both parties.

Oh yes, 100%. I agree with that. I wrote what I wrote because I wish more people understood exactly what you said. The problem is this busted system, not Tim Cook or DJT.

No, it wouldn’t bother Timmy because the same happens to competing brands producing their products in China. All tech will get a 100% tariff because most tech is produced over there. Maybe it push him to produce more locally in the USA. But I think there aren’t many tech producers left.
