I'm not sure if track by reference will work for me as mine is being sent to the store for pick up.

Anyone else in the IUP able to track theirs?

My phones just showed up on MyChoice, they're already state side in Harrisburg, PA.

Mine only just originated in Harrisburg about an hour ago, so everyone who's had no luck searching by their phone number might want to check now. Looks like a few people in this thread are having luck all of a sudden.

I'm sure when they scan the barcode it shows it on their computer that it can't be released till 9/22/17.

I know, but if only someone with my "doesn't care" work ethic was doing the scanning

My iPhone 8 Plus just showed up under my UPS MyChoice account! It's an hour away from my house. I hope it'll get here before Friday. :D

Same! Only being 2 hour away, I wonder if you'll get yours on Thursday.

That is incredibly unlikely after the mess with the early deliveries of the iPhone 4 in 2010... Apple will come down hard on any carrier (UPS, FedEx or other) who delivers these phones early. Guaranteed.

In my case, nothing shows up... still have in my account Order in progress and "delivered" by sept 25-oct 2.... hate this!
my order was confirmed sept 15 at 12:10am

I ordered at 10am on Friday and mine says the same thing :) - Sept 25-Oct 2. Still holding out hope that I get it before then. lol

reposting for newbies:

Once our orders move to processing and we should start seeing some movement to 'preparing for shipment' over the weekend since release date Sept 22th.

Once this happens we should be able to get details on your phone and let the tracking begin :)

Here are some notes to help track orders:

Apple will automatically add your phone with it's serial number in your support profile. You can see it here:
https://supportprofile.apple.com/

update new page redirected to but only gives you the devices your id belongs to :( :

Still can not track by references number ( phone number, ordee number with minus 2 last digits ) .

Hopefully will see some movement tomorrow morning .

still no update here. Ups hasn’t gotten my package yet even though I have had a tracking number pretty much all day. Hopefully some updates tomorrow

No luck for me, with UPS or FedEx. :( Maybe tomorrow will change, since I read that FedEx doesn't change status until business days.

It's a little nerve racking to not see a change in shipment at this point, but almost everyone will likely see movement this week for a 9/22 delivery. That said, its within the realm of possibility that some won't see a tracking number until the night before 9/22, and still receive their device on 9/22. Some will receive tracking info, and the device will sit in China for what seems like an eternity, but it will still arrive on 9/22. A few will have snafus, and their delivery will be late. A very few might receive their device early, but that is highly unlikely: don't hold your breath. As of today, though, there's no reason to be antsy that your device won't be delivered on time. :)

I totally agree. We go through this every year. For the vast majority (well over 99%), the devices are delivered on time, as promised by Apple. This is true even if, as you say, the tracking numbers, etc don't get updated as quickly as one would expect them to. A couple of years ago, I didn't get any notifications until a day or two after I had my phone.

Yeah, but we all love the insanity and the obsessively checking tracking numbers, order status, support profile, and of course this forum. I honestly think I only upgrade every year for this!

This is a lot of fun :)
I’m a huge aviation nerd and compulsive package tracker. So when it gets to the flight shipment phase, I break out all my nerdiness and get down to tracking the flights these guys are on :)

I remember back to the original iPad launch, I think that’s when I and a few others triggered this flight tracking binge during launches haha.

Any changes that you make after you finalize your order will cause that order to be cancelled and then you will have to place a new order - which means going to the "end of the line". It's just how it works.

That's what I thought too.
