Mine is FedEx.

Shows that the phone has been sitting/holding in mount juliet tn - since Friday. Att 256 8plus. Seems as if the units were already here last week. Could be the first pre oder batch.

You couldn’t be more wrong. I got my 7+ Jet Black on launch day last year. Just say “I’m not sure” or don’t reply at all and move on.
 
I notice that you can no longer reserve for in store pick up. I was hoping to be able to switch to a silver from space gray the day of. I wonder if this means they’re running low on store stock now.

I know, right? I love this part of it, too, especially tracking the flight. I get a little bummed if my tracking info starts in the US. :)

Really the 8 and 8 Plus's purpose was to alleviate the simple fact that the X was an impossible device for Apple to deliver by September 2017. Apple knew this long in advance(Macrumors reported this that the OLED screens deal with Samsung wasn't even finalized until early this year and production was slow.) There is just no way Apple could have delivered the demand for the X by Sept.

As you noted even with another 6 weeks of production time and people buying the 8 and 8 Plus the X will still be back ordered for a long time.
 
Still showing as preparing to ship for me. Can't find any tracking info yet. Sim-free 256GB SG 8 Plus ordered just after pre-orders opened up.

Don't know why I'm so excited to check, either way it's not going to get here until Friday. :p

My black Apple silicone case is supposed to be here tomorrow and I have two Belkin wireless chargers coming on Wednesday so hopefully those'll make the week go fast.

In case anyone was wondering, this is where some lucky phones are soon to arrive! I visited Anchorage with my BF last year and when I saw we were going to be driving near the airport one afternoon, I insisted on taking pics specifically so I could share them with you all during the next launch. Lol.

I would disagree. I'd estimate that over 99% of ALL pre-ordered wares from Apple are delivered on the promised delivery date, or earlier... regardless of new colors, etc. Even the JetBlack phones were delivered as promised, or earlier. Of course there was a higher demand for that color, but Apple did a good job of giving buyers accurate delivery dates at time of purchase.

Of course, that does not mean that just because you ordered on pre-launch day that you got it on the release day... but IF you were initially given a delivery date of the release day, over 99% of the time, you got your phone on release day.
 
I wonder how much Apple pays for server hosting bandwidth when thousands of customers are refreshing their shipping status constantly :) haha.

Nothing posted for me yet. Order in progress is all I see. No luck on UPS.com either.

I have ordered it for in-store pickup. I wonder if that means I can't track it...

If you ordered for in-store pick up, your order status will not change until the night of or the morning of launch. This is because you are picking it up in stores, rather than having it delivered to you. Plus you won't get any tracking info since you choose the pick up option.

And basically what will likely happen is that when your local Apple Store receives shipment, they will scan and will set yours a side for pick up

I ordered for in store pick up as well. Two orders, one for the Apple Watch 3 and one for the iPhone 8 Plus. No movement yet on either one.

On a side note, I am going to order the X also.

Since it is not being shipped to you but a store address, I am not sure you would be able to track the phone.

Same here. I don't think we will see any change in order status till it's ready for pick up.
 
My 12:02 order finally moved to preparing for shipment. Still can't find anything on UPS but I expect it to be on there within the next couple days!

Mine's the same. I'm going to guess that mine will be shipped via Fedex since the it says "Next Day Shipping" So likely I won't get my tracking till Thursday.

I had orders that are 'Next Day Shipping' and there was tracking details for UPS that I was able to find early.
