I didn't even order from Apple I just came across this thread and figured I would see all the tracking stuff you guys have received because T-Mobile doesn't give you any kind of information until it actually ships

They should refund the payment when your new phone loan starts. Give a call to Citizens or Apple once you receive your new one, when the close the old loan out they should refund it to you.

Do we need to call to initiate the refund or is the refund automatic? My payment was 1-2 days before I pre-ordered my 8+.

I have something in Fedex showing up coming from pss in Davenport Iowa, with a weight of 0.91 i
Kg, or 2 lbs. Ordered a 8+. Thing that makes me doubt it's the phone is it says it's shipping by FedEx smartpost, which is where the y transfer it to USPS for final delivery. I do have a promotional item I'm waiting on as well. Guess I'll have to wait for a tracking number or at least more info to hit the tracking.
Fedex will always round up their package. So It will be 2 pounds. When I ordered the iPhone 7 Plus last year, it weight about 1.01 pounds (just an estimation)

been trying to figure out if my phone is on a flight or just traveling around china, but lord flight tracking is confusing lol. on ups.com tracking it says it departed shanghai on 9/17 at 10:55 am and I got the notification around 11pm last night.
All of the UPS times (unless they say "E.T.") next to them, are in local time. The East coast of China is exactly 12 hours AHEAD of us on the East Coast of the US. So, 11pm. here is 11am. there, the next day.

Yes, Apple does require a signature. They give you the option to print a release form that you can sign and pin to your door, but the delivery driver has the discretion of whether or not to leave the package.
I think early on Yes. But they don't require signature upon delivery at later point. When I ordered an iphone back in January 2017. My order page said "Signature not required upon Delivery".

I am going to assume it is automatic, like once your old phone gets sent in and processed, Citizens will refund any payments made 30 days prior - that's what a few other forum members said a few days ago. I suggest calling now before it gets busy when the new phones arrive and see if you can confirm their answer.

I appreciate the info, thank you. Will do :)

Wait, this is really a thing? Can I change the delivery address to where I'll be? I won't be home. Also, I don't yet have tracking for my 256gb Sprint 8+ that I ordered at 12:01.

Once you have tracking info, you can request that the package be held for delivery at a UPS Customer Center or a UPS Store, Access Point (assuming it's coming UPS). If its held at a Customer Center (main hub), you can usually pick it up on delivery day. If you have it sent to a UPS Store, it's likely that you won't be able to pick it up until the next day. You can also request that the package be routed to a different address, but this might delay the delivery.

That's true. I think it's required on initial launch because the thieves are aware of the wave of iphone shipments.

You couldn’t be more wrong. I got my 7+ Jet Black on launch day last year. Just say “I’m not sure” or don’t reply at all and move on.

Yes smallest GB version. And/or walk into store/wait in line. I forgot.. I was referring to pre orders of the middle grade..

Though I watch these threads like a hawk every year for hours a day. And I would actually ask you for proof (128GB model) if I was really in the mood.. lol. Suffice it to say. 99.9999% of people had no PreOrder Jet Black middle or high GB last year on opening day.

I'm so late to this party. Seems the only time I come around MacRumor's is launch time. I ordered an 8+ 64 GB Silver to replace my Silver 64 GB 6s. My wife got an 8+ 64 GB Gold to replace her 64 GB Gold 6s. I ordered both on 9/15 about 9 am. Mine is preparing to ship with a delivery date of 9/22. Her's is still in processing with a delivery date of 9/25 to 10/2. Hope hers come soon since I hate to activate without her. :D

This if for tracking orders from Apple.com site.

I will post the tracking links once we get through the pre-orders.

Here they are:

Once our orders move to processing and we should start seeing some movement to 'preparing for shipment' over the weekend since release date Sept 22th.

Once this happens we should be able to get details on your phone and let the tracking begin :)

Here are some notes to help track orders:

Apple will automatically add your phone with it's serial number in your support profile. You can see it here:
https://supportprofile.apple.com/

update new page redirected to but only gives you the devices your id belongs to :( :

You can look up the week of manufacture and factory here: http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.htmlor

Sticking with my 128GB AT&T iPhone 7 Plus, phone is awesome, camera is great when I do not have my DSLR handy, and quite frankly I just do not care for some of the features on the 8/8P or not really liking the X

I am waiting to put iOS 11 on my phone for its features but just sticking to what I have that works well, we will see over the next 2 years what the phones look like before I upgrade. So tired of spending all this $ on these things, just seems like a waste now that most of the new features are in these phones not sure what new stuff they can really come up with to impress.

I would disagree. I'd estimate that over 99% of ALL pre-ordered wares from Apple are delivered on the promised delivery date, or earlier... regardless of new colors, etc. Even the JetBlack phones were delivered as promised, or earlier.

Nope. I was here Day in and out last year. There were "0" pre-ordered JetBlack 128GB 7+'s that arrived on launch day last year. That's a fact / Apple even acknowledged. There were only 10 at my local Apple Store. Epic fail on Apple's part there. But you're right with regard to most years.

Last year was the first year one whole class of new phones didn't deliver on launch day. Very well documented.

I ordered a 8 256 gb silver at about 6 in the morning eastern time (was not in the mood to get up at 3 am). My order is still "order in progress" but I know my debit card was charged for apple care and tax. I still show as getting it at 10:30 on Friday, September 22 at the apple store :). Hope that changes to "prepare for shipment" soon!

Question: How many of those "0 pre-ordered JetBlack 128GB7+" phones that failed to arrive on launch day were PROMISED (via "delivers on" at the time of ordering) on launch day? That particular device was extremely constrained from the beginning... and very few (if any) actually got a "delivers on" date of the release date when they were ordered.

My point stands... if you pre-ordered a device, and got a "delivers on" date for release day (this year 9/22), you will get your device on 9/22, whether you get any tracking info, whether you can find your phone within UPS/FedEx tracking systems, etc, or not.

I notice that too
I noticed that too, does that mean you have to stand in line on Friday ?
Not if you have a reservation. I already have a reservation for a black but was just hoping they'd have a sliver I could switch to.

Agree 100%. We just get anxious here. I have been "preparing to ship" for two days now. I won't freak as I've had a delivery day of 09/22 since the order was placed but I'd love to see a tracking number or something soon (probably tomorrow or a Wednesday) so I can call and switch to pick up from the delivery company.
