I am kinda doing that myself. I will use my wife's upgrade when the X is ready for pre-orders.

My 8+ 256 space grey is still preparing to ship. I live in a rural area so if they are going to get it to my work on 9/22 they’re going to need to ship ASAP.

My good friend is a rep at the At&T store, and he said hes noticing a much higher demand for the iPhone X than the 8 or 8+
Well of course. And the ding-dong Wall Street types sold off Apple today.. dropping its price 2% because of LOW DEMAND for "this year's" iPhone 8 pre-order.. uggh.

I’m sure the overnight orders like myself will get tracking later tonight or tomorrow definitely. As mentioned by others all over this thread there has to be a secret stash warehouse in the US gearing up for battle lol I wonder how many total customers have 9/22 with overnight shipping? I’m 12:03am order 8+ 256GB SG thru Apple app via Verizon program in Colorado. The next 24 hours will be fun
Lmao, I was definitely surprised to see that. But like you said, once the sales numbers for the iPhone X come in, I think people are going to be in for quite a surprise.
I figured it would end up like that anyway, but to get confirmation from someone who works first-hand in the business is different than me just forming an opinion.
I have overnight order and I “thought” I had found my tracking number on UPS this past Sunday but upon further investigation it turned out to be my Apple Watch 3. So I’m in the same waiting boat. I just wanna get a hold for pick up on it.
I will probably use the 8 Plus then order the X then sell the 8 Plus. I'm just not sure I can get used to not having a 'home' button, the swiping thing seems a little annoying, hopefully easy to get used to.
I read earlier that the stock was related to a major connection problem with the watch.
I didn't realize so many people were doing that. I sold my 7 Plus the other night and will ship it out Friday, so I'm kind of forced to go with the 8 Plus for now.
Thinking many of these were coming from China, I initially thought yeah, we all should have had tracking numbers by now. Since these are already in the states..many in one of these secret warehouses in Harrisburg, PA. I'm guessing the tracking numbers will come late tonight, tomorrow.
I used my phone number as a reference number, getting the tracking number on UPS. Still no movement, but I'm not concerned. These are truly being shipped overnight, rather than a 3, 4 day span like before.

Harrisburg, PA. Area 52 Apples stashing ground that has to be it lol. How else would so many 8+ orders be priority overnight if not here already? Maybe Apple learned from the 7+ fiasco on launch day that people want the big phone with nicer camera and battery life after all
