I also have an in-store pickup appointment. I wish I could track it with you all, but waiting on UPS all day is not very fun as my driver delivers my area last.

My appointment is 5-5:30, but it turns out that I don't have to work that day after all, so I will be there in the AM. I realize there will be a wait, but that's OK. It'll give me time to look at the different color options on display.

I should have paid more attention to this thread! I have UPS My Choice so I logged in and checked it. Tracking number and delivery from China on the 22nd! Apple.com still says preparing to ship and the charge is still pending. I suspect tomorrow morning everything on Apple.com will be updated. The phone was just shipped yesterday. Thanks guys!

Ok probably nothing to worry about but there's no movement for my phone. Checked ups/fed ex and no tracking available. Checked the Apple Store app and it still shows "preparing for shipment." Starting to feel a bit anxious.

It's just frustrating and nerve racking that I've seen no updates and seems like no movement while others have their tracking # and can track their shipments.

I have done this year after year and if Apple says it will be there on Friday, it will be there Friday. I understand your excitement, Friday is almost here! You should have your tracking today or tonight.

It’s cool—it just means that ours are already in the US and thus don’t really *need* to show movement until the day before. I went through this same thing a couple of launches ago, and while it makes this week a hell of a lot more boring for us than for everybody else, it’s nothing to worry about. :)

Anyone else get a UPS tracking number only to find it's still sitting in Shanghai since Sunday at 8:15pm?

I was getting curious last night since I remember my iPhone 6+ left 4 days before I got mine - that was coming from China.
Still said "Preparing To Ship" as of last night on Apple.

I used my phone number in the reference space https://www.ups.com/WebTracking/track?loc=en_US
Entered Country and Zip Code and it's 95 miles west from me in Harrisburg, PA.

Suspect it will officially show "Shipped" on Thurs. perhaps. But just knowing its there and on its way Friday is a relief.

Lots of people have these phones that where staged early in the states. We should start seeing those move tomorrow out of Harrisburg.

Keep in mind that I have seen some of my phones dropped shipped from China on Thursday night and still received it on Friday afternoon.

Reposting for newbies:

This if for tracking orders from Apple.com site.

I will post the tracking links once we get through the pre-orders.

Here they are:

Once our orders move to processing and we should start seeing some movement to 'preparing for shipment' over the weekend since release date Sept 22th.

Once this happens we should be able to get details on your phone and let the tracking begin :)

Here are some notes to help track orders:

Apple will automatically add your phone with it's serial number in your support profile. You can see it here:
https://supportprofile.apple.com/

update new page redirected to but only gives you the devices your id belongs to :( :

You can look up the week of manufacture and factory here: http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.htmlor

Still no tracking.. it's ok though! I know it's coming Friday. I'm just sad I don't get to join in the tracking fun. Been a great distraction in past launches. I remember vividly when ship dates were slipping, and then arriving sooner leading us all to be on the edge of our seats. It was an addiction to watch the flights and arrivals. This year it's been meh. But like I said, not complaining! It was an easy breezy preorder and I'm excited to play with it on Friday. I'm not going to download IOS11 early because I want it to feel newer lol.

[8plus 256 Gold

Anyone who has an in-store pickup for the 22nd should receive a notification that your items were shipped to store. Should be by the 21st.
PROBABLY just missed a scan on departure.
[doublepost=1505930387][/doublepost]UPS just updated the scan on my 256 GB 8. Arrived in Louisville.

Makes a lot of sense. You don't scan a package, it goes on the plane but the tracking is lost. Probably happens a lot.

Well, my Watch has officially arrived in Kentucky. My phones are still "in transit to a UPS facility" in Harrisburg, PA. I would like to see movement but it probably won't happen until late tonight or tomorrow sometime.

I have two iPhone 8's on order, both show up in UPS's system when I track by reference or when I use MyUPS.. But, the two iPhone 8 Plus's show PTS on apple.com, but don't appear in UPS's system.

I'm guessing that Apple has a large inventory of the Plus phones already stateside, and it'll ship from there. Never had this happen before -- I've always had iPhones ship from China for launch day, but, I've heard of others getting stateside shipments in the past...

Anyways, just a thought for those of you in the same boat as me...

Mines not even showing on UPS. It says "tracking not available"

Same here. I've been at preparing to ship since Monday. But no need to worry! They're probably in the US already and shipping says next day air. If you still don't have tracking Thursday afternoon, that's when you should start worrying
...and even then, it could still be fine, depending on how close the recipient is to the hub, I’d imagine. I can’t remember when I got tracking info the one time my phone was already in the US when it launched. I’ll try to find that.

Yeah, I live in Seattle and I’m sure there’s a hub near here. They probably take your zip code into account as soon as you complete
Your preorder. Mine doesn’t say next day air. It says next day shipping which says it’s in driving distance to begin the process tomorrow. So it must be near Seattle.
