The tricky part, for Apple enthusiasts, is that there really is no faster way to get your phone. It's pre-order or hope that you can get it on opening day by standing in a line for 48 hours or hope that the in/store reservation system becomes available to you before your pre-order. So it's not like we have a whole lot of other choice than to pre-order as I see it.

The days of "everybody who stays up on preorder night gets their phone on launch day" are over. That ship sailed two years ago. There aren't enough facilities in China working around the clock for 364 days ahead to get out the demand for all the new iPhones that exists on a typical Apple iPhone launch.

Again, no one has problem of expecting their phones right away after they placed an order, the problem is that Apple is sending phones in their physical stores and people are buying them there while ours are still sitting in CN and KR. I was fool to stay awake half of a night on Oct. 27th in order to get the phone last. What kind of client treatment is that?

What date did they promise you when you ordered?

They promised me Nov 17-24, so even with this delay, I'm still ahead of my quoted date. You could have chosen to say no at that point. You knew they were going to be available in store when you stayed up half the night. As did I. It's part of the gamble when you do these things. There's no guarantees.

You're acting like they're intentionally trying to be bad to you ("What kind of treatment is that?"). That's ludicrous, IMO.

I tend to agree. While it is a little annoying that some people with later ship dates seem to have gotten bumped ahead of me, I’m not going to make a fuss unless Apple and UPS start to miss dates.

Also, my order just went to preparing for shipment, so some progress.

It's good to see some of the Incheon shipements being updated, hopefully mine will be shortly. No update since Wednesday but still hoping :)

You're missing the point. Though I feel your angst and share it, the point is what was your promised delivery date? Pretty much every single one of us complaining now is getting an earlier delivery date than what Apple promised on preorder night. So that's the big picture I think a lot of people are missing in their angst to get their phone.

Apple also promised the public to have in store stock starting November 3. They have several potential clients they are making promises to. But so far the only people that have the right to complain about a broken promise are the November 2 to November 10 people that don't have their phone today.

Is this the normal travel graph for iPhone Xs?
Mine is now in Incheon, Korea.

Thanks.
No, it should have gone directly from Incheon to Anchorage via flight UPS99 but something happened. The "detour" only delayed the iPhone one day after the original UPS scheduled delivery. The package is a "worldwide expedited" which promises (but does not guarantee) 4 to 5 days delivery and mine arrived at the 5th day after Apple shipped it.

After a lot of back and forth, I've decided to be "profligate" (by my standards) and upgrade my year-old iPhone 7 plus to an X. I am on T-Mobile and want to participate in Iphone Upgrade Program as I foresee this happening again next year and want the Apple Care, but it seems I can't sign up unless I go to a store. This is frustrating because I want to do in store pick up when units come up at 6 am. Has anyone had success linng up recently without arranging pickup? I want a Silver in 256 GB and to turn in my iPhone 7 plus for credit + sign up for iUP. So frustrating that we can't just sign up online or order a Verizon unit for pick up.

So I know some have opted to cancel and tried the checking Apple stores and reserving theirs.
My aunt decided that she wants an iPhone X as well but would like it before Nov. 20th, we're going on vacation out of the country and she really would like a newer phone - whatever, but I'd rather use her phone to take pictures and whatnot since my 6Plus is literally dying each day (runs at a snail pace, premature battery death, etc, etc.).

Long story short, asked one of the employees if they had it in stock, tells me that they have a blind restock every weekday and to check the site at 6AM to see if they have it.
For anyone that has done this and succeeded, did it take long for you to find an iPhone in stock at the store, was there a particular day - Tuesday? Wednesday?

Question, anyone else have a export scan at 2.24 pm assuming local time in Shanghai? I’m trying to figure out my next step in the delivery progress

As posted a few times in this thread. Don't bother checking. Setup alerts on istocknow.com for the phone you want and the stores you want. The second it posts in stock you get an email.

Tracking phones near me there has ban many restocks anywhere from 6am-11am. A few a 3-4p. Also some around 11pm.

I'm not going to pull that trigger unless Apple starts missing dates.

While I'm kind of annoyed that other people are getting moved up and I'm not, I always figured that I was near the back of the 17-24 group.

You are lucky mine has been sitting at Dec1-8 for two weeks now. Sure would like to get it the week of Thanksgiving since I will be home the entire week.

Quick update: tax charged on CC and preparing for shipment.

My order: 256 silver x 2 @ 3:16 EST via IUP. Was originally quoted delivery estimate of 10/17-24.

One phone has been in China 3 days and then sitting in Korea since 11/10. No further movement since the 11/10 arrival scan. UPS is saying 11/15 estimate.

Second phone shipped 11/11 and quickly went to shanghai same day. No updates since 11/11 arrival scan. UPS is showing 11/16 delivery estimate.

Then you'd be wrong. :) UPS moves shipments 24/7. They don't deliver on weekends (Saturday deliveries for other services or exceptions for these being the exception), but they certainly move cargo on the weekends.

<sad trombone sound>
48 hours sitting in Incheon with no movement over the weekend.
