I still haven’t received an export from China scan, I guess mine is with the next batch :( and will miss the 11/24 delivery date.

More movement

Side note: time zones are weird; left China on Thursday, arrived in Alaska on Wednesday.
You do know that China is +12 hours from USA EST. There is that pesky International Date Line between Alaska and China. So as I post this at 11:29 PM EST it is 11:20 AM China Standard Time on Thursday.

should hopefully see some movement soon if shipping estimates are now 1-2 weeks and i ordered a week ago, although some of your experiences lead me to believe that isn’t exactly true. if i cancelled right now and re-ordered i’d get an earlier delivery date than i got when i ordered last week.

I wouldn't do that... they keep telling me that my order position should result in shipping ahead of new orders so doing so may result in additional delays for you.... feeling a bit like a mushroom at the moment. :D

7C2386B3-031B-4D8D-95D9-907576F8348E.png I’ve been reading a lot of post on this thread and others about everyone’s experiences with iPhone X shipping and I figured I would share mine, although it’s the same as many others, but here it is:

Ordered my iPhone X on 10/27 on apple.com at around 7:30 am cst. Att 256 space gray iup. Confirmation email at 7:30 am with delivery 12/11-18. A week later on 11/3 got email from Apple stating delivery has been moved to 12/1-8, at this point, I’m pretty excited about getting my X a week earlier! Then on 11/16 get email saying my X has shipped and cc charged, with expected delivery from Apple 11/28 and then from ups for 11/22, which obviously didn’t happen, because according to tracking information, my phone is still in China at the moment! Hopefully I’ll have it by 11/28, which by reading other posts, Apple’s delivery date is pretty accurate! With that being said, I’ve had no movement since 11/18!

Congratulations mine left Zhengzhou at 1240am China time. That was nine hours ago. I have no idea where it is. Only plane that left there around that time was a National Cargo plane. It landed in Alaska over and hour ago.
Yes your iPhone is on National Airlines flight N8603 with 10 of thousands of other iPhone units. Flight N8603 left late at 12:59 AM CST and it has already departed from Anchorage AK at 4:56 PM AST heading to Louisville KY estimated arrival currently at 2:19 AM EST.

National Airlines is flying two old converted Air France passenger 747/400's for these UPS Charters.

Yeah, I was just pointing out how fun it is that our phones are coming from the future! iPhone X really is the future of smartphones :p

8E00D0C1-042E-4457-B355-7D31BA3AE3C5.png Update:
So after sitting in ZhengZhou, China since 11/18 5:56 pm, my phone has finally left China and is now in Incheon, Korea, Republic of as of 11/23 5:38 pm.

Yah, mine sat in China and is in Korea, too, but, just got text from UPS saying delivery changed from 11/24 to 11/28(!). Apple still says 11/24 and MyUPS site says unknown. Since Apple says standard, not expedited shipping...I imagine it won't make it Friday...sigh...

Mine said exact same thing last week after arriving in Korea.. then left on a flight to Anchorage that night and arrived on the original closer date. So fear not! I’ll bet it still comes on 24th. Bottom line - once in Korea.. the “long wait/wonder” is over.

Why is it that some are being put in batches to Korea and others straight to anchorage? I just compared my order with someone who ordered much later than I did and their phone is already in Anchorage, whereas mine just was scanned into Korea. Frustrating to say the least.

All phones from ZhengZhou China go thru Incheon Korea or Shanghai China before going to Anchorage. Not sure what you think you saw. Pretty sure UPS jets can’t get from ZhengZhou China to Alaska without refuel.

Fair but I’ve seen several tracking histories even on this page of this thread omitting a scan into Korea. Just confusing.

Yes. If they’re missing Korea - then it has a Shanghai scan. I’ve kept records (as I do every year) of this process and in 100% of the posts here with proof screenshots there’s a scan through Shanghai or Incheon after leaving ZhengZhou.

Ok ok, so why do some phones follow a different trajectory than others? Some people who ordered after me will be getting theirs before I do, which is insane

I have an Apple delivery window of 11/17-11/24, but after shipping on 11/14, the packet sat in China for 8 days. It arrived in Inchon, Korea 24 hours ago, but hasn’t departed from there yet! UPS showed delivery for last Monday, then that changed to Wednesday, yesterday, and it still says that although phone still in Korea.
BTB, there are some tracking posts that skip Shanghai & Korea, so I don’t know what the other person posting in on about.
Here’s an example from a post a few pages back...

My Iphone X has taken the weirdest journey Ive seen so far. I had a delivery date of 11/24 by apple. According to UPS, it has travelled from China to Korea three times. The first time it was scanned back in China, Apple said it was just a time zone delay. The next time they said it was still in customs. I asked UPS and they said they have a contract with apple that only allows them to take so many shipments, and they have to be in order. Yet, Ive seen orders ship ahead of mine from later dates. The delay is unacceptable, and being lied about it by apple and UPS isnt either.

I empathize with both of you. Super frustrating that they aren't being straight up about this, let alone be transparent as to why some phones are becoming world travelers while some get expedited right to Anchorage.

Wow, that’s really screwed up!
Apple allowed the shipments to occur so that our CCs could be charged, but they then directed UPS on which IPhones to send and exactly when. Mine is already ten days in the shipping hell, but I wasn’t bounced all around like you.
Crazy!

I think it’s hysterical that I’m getting my trade in package tomorrow from Apple but no date on my iPhone X yet. Still stuck in China since Monday.

I am sorry but you are incorrect. Flights can and do make the ZhengZhou China to Anchorage run non-stop.

Before the iPhone X launch earlier this month, and all month there have been at least a dozen or more times direct flights from ZhengZhou (also know as iPhone City). The direct flights have been flown primary by National Airlines, a contract carrier for UPS. These flights will just appear on Flightware a few hours before the actual departures when the flight plans are logged at ZhengZhou's airport.

Also the final destination is not always UPS's World Hub in Louisville. They have delivered the AT&T bulk shipments to Dallas (Fort Worth Distribution Center) and Memphis. They have also handled the Sprint, T-Moble and Verizon bulk shipments.

Ok ok, so why do some phones follow a different trajectory than others? Some people who ordered after me will be getting theirs before I do, which is insane
The easiest way to explain the different "trajectories" is to note the basic UPS shipping flow. Most customers are just happy to know when their iPhone ships and when it is scheduled to arrive. Only a small percentage like us want to know exactly where our new iPhone is at every stop in the fulfillment flow.

UPS runs a series of regularly scheduled flights between China and Louisville. These flights handle the day to day freight loads. In periods of high demand like "now", in additional to the normal UPS flights, contracted dedicated flights are added for periods of large volume of device shipments.

As I mentioned above there are the two National Airlines 747's and other freight only flights like those that Cathay Pacific runs. And finally, your new iPhone X can ride as cargo on passenger flights.

So some flights will be direct from ZhengZhou China to Alaska, while others stop in South Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong as well as other locations to be merged to the regularly scheduled UPS freight flights.

Note: The regular UPS flights run on schedules that vary from daily, 5 days per week and other variations.

Congrats! I wouldn't be surprised if your phone shows up this Friday. Apple uses UPS and UPS charges extra for Saturday delivery so if it doesn't make Friday, you're looking at Monday. You and I ordered at about the same time. My order was 10/27 around 9am Eastern. I got a 64 GB Verizon Space Grey. I've had mine since Monday afternoon. Based on the difference between our delivery dates, it seems the At&t 256 is in higher demand. I upgraded from an iPhone 7. I had 80 GB used on my device, 50 GB of which was photos. Since I have iCloud Photo library I didn't expect any storage issue and I was right. My new device has 30 GB of 64 GB free and everything came over, well the photos obviously came over as thumbnails.

It would be great if it shows up Friday! I am having my phone delivered to where I work, since I wouldn’t be home when ups delivers to my apt! The only thing is, the office is closed until Monday! So it looks like a Monday or Tuesday delivery, which I’m fine with instead of the original delivery given to me by Apple of 12/11-18! I’ve read several posts stating that att 256 were lagging in being shipped because of high demand. I’m upgrading from a 6 plus 128 gb. Hope you’re enjoying your new phone and I hope to be doing the same in a few days!
