You do know that China is +12 hours from USA EST. There is that pesky International Date Line between Alaska and China. So as I post this at 11:29 PM EST it is 11:20 AM China Standard Time on Thursday.More movement
Side note: time zones are weird; left China on Thursday, arrived in Alaska on Wednesday.
I wouldn't do that... they keep telling me that my order position should result in shipping ahead of new orders so doing so may result in additional delays for you.... feeling a bit like a mushroom at the moment.should hopefully see some movement soon if shipping estimates are now 1-2 weeks and i ordered a week ago, although some of your experiences lead me to believe that isn’t exactly true. if i cancelled right now and re-ordered i’d get an earlier delivery date than i got when i ordered last week.
Yes your iPhone is on National Airlines flight N8603 with 10 of thousands of other iPhone units. Flight N8603 left late at 12:59 AM CST and it has already departed from Anchorage AK at 4:56 PM AST heading to Louisville KY estimated arrival currently at 2:19 AM EST.Congratulations mine left Zhengzhou at 1240am China time. That was nine hours ago. I have no idea where it is. Only plane that left there around that time was a National Cargo plane. It landed in Alaska over and hour ago.
Yeah, I was just pointing out how fun it is that our phones are coming from the future! iPhone X really is the future of smartphonesYou do know that China is +12 hours from USA EST. Dave
Yah, mine sat in China and is in Korea, too, but, just got text from UPS saying delivery changed from 11/24 to 11/28(!). Apple still says 11/24 and MyUPS site says unknown. Since Apple says standard, not expedited shipping...I imagine it won't make it Friday...sigh...
Why is it that some are being put in batches to Korea and others straight to anchorage? I just compared my order with someone who ordered much later than I did and their phone is already in Anchorage, whereas mine just was scanned into Korea. Frustrating to say the least.
All phones from ZhengZhou China go thru Incheon Korea or Shanghai China before going to Anchorage. Not sure what you think you saw. Pretty sure UPS jets can’t get from ZhengZhou China to Alaska without refuel.![]()
Fair but I’ve seen several tracking histories even on this page of this thread omitting a scan into Korea. Just confusing.
Yes. If they’re missing Korea - then it has a Shanghai scan. I’ve kept records (as I do every year) of this process and in 100% of the posts here with proof screenshots there’s a scan through Shanghai or Incheon after leaving ZhengZhou.
I have an Apple delivery window of 11/17-11/24, but after shipping on 11/14, the packet sat in China for 8 days. It arrived in Inchon, Korea 24 hours ago, but hasn’t departed from there yet! UPS showed delivery for last Monday, then that changed to Wednesday, yesterday, and it still says that although phone still in Korea.Ok ok, so why do some phones follow a different trajectory than others? Some people who ordered after me will be getting theirs before I do, which is insane
My Iphone X has taken the weirdest journey Ive seen so far. I had a delivery date of 11/24 by apple. According to UPS, it has travelled from China to Korea three times. The first time it was scanned back in China, Apple said it was just a time zone delay. The next time they said it was still in customs. I asked UPS and they said they have a contract with apple that only allows them to take so many shipments, and they have to be in order. Yet, Ive seen orders ship ahead of mine from later dates. The delay is unacceptable, and being lied about it by apple and UPS isnt either.

BTB, there are some tracking posts that skip Shanghai & Korea, so I don’t know what the other person posting in on about.
Here’s an example from a post a few pages back...
I am sorry but you are incorrect. Flights can and do make the ZhengZhou China to Anchorage run non-stop.All phones from ZhengZhou China go thru Incheon Korea or Shanghai China before going to Anchorage. Not sure what you think you saw. Pretty sure UPS jets can’t get from ZhengZhou China to Alaska without refuel.![]()
The easiest way to explain the different "trajectories" is to note the basic UPS shipping flow. Most customers are just happy to know when their iPhone ships and when it is scheduled to arrive. Only a small percentage like us want to know exactly where our new iPhone is at every stop in the fulfillment flow.Ok ok, so why do some phones follow a different trajectory than others? Some people who ordered after me will be getting theirs before I do, which is insane
View attachment 737828 Update:
So after sitting in ZhengZhou, China since 11/18 5:56 pm, my phone has finally left China and is now in Incheon, Korea, Republic of as of 11/23 5:38 pm.
It would be great if it shows up Friday! I am having my phone delivered to where I work, since I wouldn’t be home when ups delivers to my apt! The only thing is, the office is closed until Monday! So it looks like a Monday or Tuesday delivery, which I’m fine with instead of the original delivery given to me by Apple of 12/11-18! I’ve read several posts stating that att 256 were lagging in being shipped because of high demand. I’m upgrading from a 6 plus 128 gb. Hope you’re enjoying your new phone and I hope to be doing the same in a few days!Congrats! I wouldn't be surprised if your phone shows up this Friday. Apple uses UPS and UPS charges extra for Saturday delivery so if it doesn't make Friday, you're looking at Monday. You and I ordered at about the same time. My order was 10/27 around 9am Eastern. I got a 64 GB Verizon Space Grey. I've had mine since Monday afternoon. Based on the difference between our delivery dates, it seems the At&t 256 is in higher demand. I upgraded from an iPhone 7. I had 80 GB used on my device, 50 GB of which was photos. Since I have iCloud Photo library I didn't expect any storage issue and I was right. My new device has 30 GB of 64 GB free and everything came over, well the photos obviously came over as thumbnails.
