Same here. SG 256 ordered on 11/16, still shows Dec 7-14 as delivery date.
MINE IS NOW SHOWING PREPARING FOR SHIPMENT!
Pretty awesome. Didn’t expect it to on a Sunday but hey, hopefully that means it’ll ship tomorrow or Tuesday.
You guys are getting my hopes up! I ordered on Nov 15. I'm too scared to check my order's status. AAAAh!

Great feeling huh? I think everyone of us who has that ship date is having a preparing to ship update.. now hoping that it has a smooth journey through China. Wondering if I should start ordering my case now or waiting a few more days.

Lol, my case is already shipped, delivering on Tuesday. What a MIRACLE if somehow they showed up on the same day.
Mine still shows the same delivery date, but if it’s in preparing to ship mode that generally means it’s going to ship out within 24-48 hours..
Mine shipped on 11/16 and still has yet to arrive. Temper your expectations with it having to clear customs and whatnot.
Damn, that seems to be the exception though. Some people are waiting absurdly long while others are getting it in a matter of days.
Either way I have it reserved at my local Apple Store so I can pick it up whenever, just trying to decide which order to cancel...
I ordered my X on Nov. 7th..."Shipped" on Nov. 23rd...and it's sat in ZhengZhou, China since then, awaiting "clearing agency review"...My delivery date is Nov. 29th...via UPS but just looking at my apple.com order, they are saying the 30th now...it said the 29th yesterday...
So it does seem that Apple held up the last two weeks of orders so they could stock retail for Black Friday. Seems all those orders are now “preparing to ship”. Not the best way to treat your customer base.
There’s nothing wrong with stratagetically planning inventory so that Apple can have iPhone X stocked during the busiest shopping weekend of the year.
[doublepost=1511740923][/doublepost]It’s not like they delayed your iPhone X so that they can sell it in their retail store. They designate a certain percentage of inventory towards the online store, carriers, Apple Stores, retail like Best Buy and Target, etc.
Those of you who’ve already gotten your X shipped or have it in your possession, how long did it take for it to move from ‘preparing to ship’ to shipped?

No.. there’s no way to pinpoint the timeframe any tighter.
Mine stayed at “order in progress” for 2 weeks until I cancelled my order, 2 days later I walked into an Apple store then walked out with my iPhone X.
Those order/shipping stages felt like torture. Now I know what waterboarding feels like - absolutely relatable to waiting for your new iPhone to ship.
