Additional movement in Las Vegas since its first arrival this morning, but still not quite Out for Delivery. Silver 256 by the way.

Are these packages really No Signature Required? While someone is home today it won’t be me and I can’t make him stay home all day. Should I work from home today???

hell yes you should, if you can. I didn't get an out for delivery scan till almost 9:30. You still have lots of time. The delivery date shows as today, right?
 
Yes delivery today. 256 Silver.
Ordered 14 days ago and told then 2 to 3 weeks.

It was either that or get up at 5 am to wait outside in front of the store until 9 am. I said Nah.
 
Well as of 10:19 am mine is now showing no delivery date and that it is being delayed due to a late flight. Last scan was that it was departing Louisville at 9:52 am.

I am not optimistic that i’ll see it today, and as it mentions next business day I’m doubtful for a Saturday delivery, although I do have a UPS ground package scheduled for delivery tomorrow, (if it gets here from CA). So maybe. Still wishing for today. :(
 
Yeah. Apple’s mandate has put UPS in a terrible position given Cyber Monday was just a few days ago. They just have an impossible load today. Or bad weather in Louisville. The UPS truck is usually here by now in my neighborhood. But not today.

If it doesn’t come today / blame it on CyberMonday.
 
Well I’m done for the day - just got a notice from UPS - A late Flight has caused a delay. We will update the delivery date as soon as possible. Your delivery has been rescheduled for the next business day. - Delivered by December 5.

Update from UPS - the phone made it from Lexington to Phoenix, AZ. Tuesday 12/5 delivery estimated.

I should modify my last statement there a bit. There HAVE been “a couple” of times in the 15 years when the website (or app) said “by end of day” and then CHANGED to “delayed” with a new delivery day. But that’s rare.

As long as it doesn’t update to a new day you’ll have it by end of today.

I spoke with the front office of my apartment, they said UPS usually hit's them before 6 PM!!! My status is currently out for delivery.
 
My scheduled delivery now says:
Scheduled delivery information is not available at this time. Please check back later.

It also departed the hub (about an hour's drive away) almost 2 hours ago. Really hoping I get an "out for delivery" today but I fear it may be too late.
 
So if mine shows that it "departed" the local facility and it's showing today as delivery date still, it must be out for delivery, right? RIGHT?

Common knowledge. Apple restrains UPS and FedEX from delivering before launch day every year. Venders have a broad range of “requests” they can made of shipping companies as the shipping companies get paid by them. Just like you can instruct UPS to hold a package for you or deliver between certain hours. Shouldn’t be hard to understand.

I will withdraw my word “mandate”. Apple’s ‘requested’ the carriers move to top priority all pre-orders remaining and Apple will pay a premium for those upgrades from 2day to next day to overnight. Whatever gets the job done.
 
The phone has made it to Windsor Locks, but still no delivery date. I doubt it will make it to my local UPS to be delivered today.

There normally is an option on the order page to allow leaving it without a signature, I don't think I could for a $1k item. It's simply something you print, sign and tape to your door. There was a time when a signature was required for everything from Apple, that's changed.

Agreed. I know everything I have gotten from Apple takes a signature.

This hasn't changed for me.
