That is normally correct. However, I guess it also depends on when you requested it too. Like when Airpods pro launched, I did the UPS Store pick up and not the UPS CC. I was able to pick it up on the originally delivery date and the delivery date did not bump. But I wouldn't risk doing it. I would rather pick it up at UPS CC.
Does anyone remember how we would track the actual flight? I forgot which website we used to use. Tracked it last year from ZhenZhou all the way here. The flight stopped in Hong Kong had mechanical problems departing and was delayed - Then to Anchorage, Louisville, and to me. Phone made it on time though!
You guys. I was setting on getting the mini at first, then not upgrading at all, and now wanting to get a 12. I have a problem. Must check into to apple’s anonymous.
The “in transit to UPS” status indicates that the shipper has indicated the item has shipped, but is using their own means to get it to a UPS facility (typically when there’s a large trailer of packages involved). It will turn to “in transit” once that trailer reaches UPS.

First step is admitting right? Only downfall is the blue is shipping Nov 2-4 now. Bleh. Only Red, White and Black I can get on launch but I’m eyeballing that blue.
Someone earlier yesterday posted they have a brother in law that works for UPS and there was no instruction to hold this year. Possibly due to all the covid shipping volume
I’ve never had an iPhone or Apple shipment show an earlier date than release day. So quite possible we see them in the next few days.
I've had it happen before and UPS will hold it til delivery day. Though every year it seems a few lucky people have theirs sneak through a day or two early.
I have an 8am appointment for my phone and then later ordered a phone for my girlfriend and the appointment is for noon. Does anyone know if I’ll be able to pick up both at 8am or have to go back at noon? I’d imagine I could pick but up at noon but not sure about 8am.

As long as your credit card has been charged or at least Apple has taken payment authorization, you will be fine, and it will reach on time. 😁
I have ordered iPhone 12 Pro PB for pick up, but apple still didn't take any payment from my card. Pick up day 23 OCT. is it that normal?
My date changed to Wednesday for scheduled delivery. If I try to hold for pickup it says I can pick it up then as well.
