Can someone remind me what to search on UPS to find the shipment if you don't already have the tracking number? Is it phone number or order number (in full or without certain digits)?

Edit: Nevermind. Found it by subtracting digits from the end of the order number. I'm in ZHENGZHOU, CN, waiting as usual.

Use the order number, minus the last digit, as the reference.

Phone number or order minus last 2 some say minus last 1 sometimes too.

Use your phone number as the reference number in the format of 2135551234.

I just got a tracking number for both mine and my brothers iPhone 12 Pros by using our phone numbers as the reference number in this format: 6463178976
Remember you need to be logged into a valid ups website account (free) or you will see a line of asterixes instead of the number.

UPS will show you all the references numbers attached to your shipment once you locate it. Mine uses my phone number, order number, and 3 or 4 other reference numbers, but I have no clue what they mean. Two of the start with the letter E.

I have ordered iPhone 12 Pro PB for pick up, but apple still didn't take any payment from my card. Pick up day 23 OCT. is it that normal?

I believe so. I did one through IUP and haven’t been charged for that but do have a pending charge for the one purchased on Apple Card. I think it just depends on how you bought it and how far along the order is in processing.

The ones starting with E are the UPS account number and probably some numbers for tracking of the pallet.

I sent UPS a message on Twitter asking if they can see a hold date on the package or if it looks like it can be picked up when it arrives at the hub. I‘ll post when I hear back.

Exception or tentative due to how many variables are at play. It will change ten times before it hits the states tbh. I’ve only had one issue where there was a delay due to “mechanical failure” and I still got it on time.

Mine does to but only on the app. Its because the date changed to Wednesday for me. Don’t worry exception comes and goes.

Mine is showing original scan in China right now but the Apple website is still showing it as preparing to ship

So yesterday my delivery date said Wednesday but now it shows

“Scheduled Delivery

Please check back later for scheduled delivery”

Think this is the system finally catching up with Apple’s demand to hold until launch day?

Anyone buy their carrier model and paid in full through apple instead of SIM free? I found out I can still get the 12 for $849 if I picked the AT&T version. Guess I’ll just have to call them and ask if they can waive the upgrade fee.

I was able to see that there was an order number last night but couldn't access it, then I realized I should try logging in to UPS.

Used the phone number I put as a reference #, but order number minus last digit also works here too.

Nah that would have been shown first. It’s just based on scans and when UPS gets it. I’m waiting on UPS to reply to see if they see a hold date or not.

Don't get caught up in tracking so early on. My iPhone X was in China the day before release day and I still got it on time.

They'll get here in time for 99.999% of people.

Exception came and went 3 or 4 times last year for no reason nothing happened delivered on time.

I have UPS delivery scheduled for Wednesday (Friday). If I try and change it to delivery at a local UPS store, it changes my delivery date to Monday the 25th.

That's a very big hint that your phone will actually be delivered on the 23rd, not the 21st.

Why wouldn’t you get it sim free if you paid in full? Gives you the option to choose any carriers in the future.
