Lol, isn’t it great? I’ve traced mine before. It’ll say “almost there” and look like it’s a block away on their little map. 3 hours later... ?
Grrr yea I hate UPS for that. At least when Amazon finally says it is close, it's at worst maybe 1/2hr to delivery. And the UPS truck never moves. It's literally in the same spot on the map like you said for hours

I absolutely love seeing all the pics come through of delivery vans through peoples windows and deliveries on doorsteps etc lol

People frantically tracing their deliveries and seeing them trundle past their house when its 6 stops away haha. Love it!
Yea and you will never hear them any other day, but on delivery day you will hear tons of diesel engines and run to look

If you purchase through Apple for Verizon, it will be locked for 60 days and then after that it’s unlocked.
Only if you activate a VZW Sim on it. If you upgrade and put a different carrier's SIM or an active VZW SIM in, it stays unlocked. If you get new service, and somehow can stop the automatic activation, you will be ok too.

I love the follow the truck feature but hate it when the truck is a block away but then turn down another street and don’t come back to my street for another hour or 2.

I hope they have SIM free so I can avoid the upgrade fee.
That is why I hate Verizon and ATT. Ive had both before. Even if TMobile is spotty sometimes in certain areas, at least they don’t charge for things that they don’t do anything for. No upgrade fees and no hidden costs. I pay $10 flat for my watch and my buddy pays Verizon like $17 I believe. $10 for watch, plus bogus service fees and taxes. Don’t get me going

How did you get $10 flat with your watch? When I had T-Mobile it was $10 plus taxes and fees which brought almost to $15 per month. T-Mobile do charge a $20 fee if you upgrade in store or over the phone. The only way to avoid that is to upgrade through the app or online. The monthly bill I was paying to T-Mobile was $10 less than what I pay for with Verizon now. I get Apple Music for free, better coverage and 75GB of 4G/LTE and 5G. T-Mobile used to throttle me when I hit 50GB. I rather pay $10 more and have better coverage.

I only pay $10 for my watch. I have 4 lines for $160 a month, added the watch and my bill is $170. I didn’t think they charged to upgrade. I never have paid, but then again I always buy from Apple and just move the SIM card over. I have heard from people saying ATT charges the upgrade fee even if you buy from Apple and move your sim. Somehow they know you are using a new phone. I guess all of the carriers are bad. I just get so mad when they charge fees where they do absolutely nothing.

Yup and that’s the reason I always upgraded through the app or online with T-Mobile. Now with Verizon I’m buying Sim free from Apple this year to avoid that fee.

Yea and what makes even less sense is sometimes they will halve or waive the fee if you order through them online. But you pay the whole thing if you order through apple unless you just swap an old SIM. They do LESS of the process if you order through Apple!

Damn, Apple store near me is closing again due to the surge in cases of Corona. Looks like it will be Home delivery for me for the pre-orders.

The excitement is building. Upgrading from my 11 Pro Max to the 12 Pro Max (the largest one 😂) in midnight blue. This thread always gets crazy, but I think this year the angst (including mine) will be more over the top than usual with pandemic shipping difficulties. Fun!

I hope my local Apple stores reopen so that I can pick up the preorder there, but in the past I’ve always had it held at ups CC for pickup, and it’s worked well.

This preorder checklist from Casey Liss is a few years old, but it’s good advice.

I really do want to upgrade and I am still thinking on it.

I am pretty much happy with my 11 Pro Max. It’s been a fantastic iPhone ( the best one I ever had). I been upgrading every two or three years since my first iPhone which was iPhone 3G.

So the 32 year old adult side is telling me to chill with the 11 pro max for another year and save the cash for other tech purchases ( PlayStation 5 in November or other stuff) or put into the vacation fund for summer 2021 😂. Or just save in general during these crazy times we live in. Also Just got an Apple Watch series 6 as well.

However, the rumors of the iPhone 12 are compelling and I am sure apple trade in value will be good if I do upgrade to the 12 and use my 11 pro max as the trade in.

It’s the dilemma I been facing and trying to make a decision soon. The iPhone announcement event will give me a clearer indication of what my decision should be.

First world problems 😂

Is the Apple trade in program really that good? Will trading in a phone that’s only a year old be worth it?

Apples trade in rates are okay ( you definitely can get more selling it yourself on Craigslist or something).

I remember last year they gave 500 for an iPhone XS in good/ excellent condition towards an iPhone 11 or 11 Pro. 600 for an XS Max for the same deal. Expect something similar for the this year.
