Does this mean the 27th would be delivery day? I would be surprised if Apple has iPhone deliveries during Thanksgiving.

UPS Holiday Schedule

Yup they are out there bright and early delivering parcels. At USPS, we have to come in at 6am, do a parcel run, come back to the station to case up our route (mail, magazines and newspapers) and do another parcel run then. Some days I was working 6-7 days a week at 12 hours. It was exhausting but we made good money.

Yes and even from Black Friday to the middle or so of January, you are going to be fighting with the already overloaded deliveries. I would not want to be a delivery employee with Christmas AND iPhone delivery rush

It wasn’t so bad for us us at the post office because we don’t deliver Apple products (thank God!) but I’ve had a touch of Christmas at the beginning of the pandemic until school let out.

Least surprising news ever that the pro models are coming in November. I thought all of them would come in November, but I guess they can release the lower-end ones in October if they do a staggered release.

As usual, I’m waiting until the reveal before deciding. I‘m most interested in the 12 Pro Max especially if it comes in the rumored Navy/Midnight Blue.

At the same time, I’m debating if I should upgrade this year. I paid off my phone with Verizon to be ready to upgrade through Apple this time around, but now I’m reconsidering a bit. Need to wait for the event for a final decision.

Same.. I had said definitively that I would not be upgrading to the 12, but lately I've been experiencing absolutely dog**** service with my 11 Pro Max and it has been frustrating. I'm hoping this would be resolved by the Qualcomm modems rumored to be included in the 12. I'm on iUP and I would probably go for the mini to try out something different and reduce my monthly payment by a few pennies. We'll see..

Do you think we will be able to pre-order and pick up the new iPhone at the Apple store? Or will they force deliveries due to Covid?

I've been thinking about this lately. Will be really interesting to see how it's handled.. Even if Apple wanted to do it, would the malls and other areas where Apple Stores are located allow people to be all lined up together?

Oh, thank you for this reminder!! I was in Michigan last week and my data service was absolutely terrible although I supposedly had adequate signal strength (2-3 bars). The data would drop out of LTE sometimes or it wouldn’t, but data went to a crawl or stand still anyway. My battery drained quickly because it. I’ve been at home on wifi or on good service locally for so long, that with my first time traveling, I just thought I may not have been in the best areas (although I wasn’t in the woods). Forgot about the Intel modem stuff.

If Qualcomm returns, I’m ordering.

Definitely interested in a 12 max pro to replace my 8 plus . Want better battery , bigger display and face recognition.

Touch recognition on this thing is so flaky nowadays and the battery life is abysmal

Malls in the Chicago suburbs allow people to line up at Apple stores now.

One line to one side of the entrance to have temperature checked, check-in for appointment, and wait for a Genius. The other side of the entrance is for people to pickup repairs, orders, etc..

I do think it will be a mess for iPhone pre-order pickups.

Just going to get worse in some areas with temps dropping between being in line for who knows how long in frigid temps and glasses fogging up eternally

Tell me about it.

My closest Apple Store is an outdoor mall, which is why I will have mine held at the UPS Customer Center.
