so status on Apple.com shows “shipped” and delivery on Apple.com shows Wednesday as well?
So my iPhone Upgrade Program payment is supposed to go through tomorrow for my iPhone 11 Pro and I just got the confirmation email. My iPhone 12 Pro payment starts Tuesday. Is anyone else in this boat? Found a way out?
Yep! Same boat as you. I was told by other members that the company that handles the loans will credit it once they see the charge for the new phone. But this is my first year upgrading so no idea what will really happen.
I just noticed I show a UPS package coming from AI China with a rescheduled delivery of Wed 10/21. Has to be the phone. Also a 256gb 12 Pro in graphite. However the Apple Store app still says preparing to ship and I haven’t been charged the monthly fee yet. Just taxes. Guess we’ll see if it actually arrives 2 days early. UPS says it’s departed the facility there.
Same here. I bet they don’t update their systems before Monday morning.

I’m in Ireland and mine’s been preparing for shipment since yesterday with no update. Is this normal?
Same, thursday it will be at our local facility and on trucks for friday delivery, has been same each year. I enjoy my ups app for track anything incoming. 👍
I say there is a 50/50 shot at Wednesday delivery.
1. I’ve never seen things move this fast. I ordered at 8:02AM EST. And had preparing to ship a few hours later. It usually hangs out at processing for at least two days before it even moves to preparing to ship.
2. UPS tracking information happened the same day. Again, I have never seen things move this fast. Usually not much happens over the weekend.
3. Usually if it shows a delivery date that is early, it will reschedule to the launch date.
Mine went from Tuesday delivery and then rescheduled to Wednesday. That’s very odd.
4. Even the accessories shipped at warp speed, all of my accessories shipped Friday and will be here tomorrow.
5. This year has been nuts, who knows what Apple is allowing/changing on the logistic side of things. Maybe due to how much e-commerce is going on, UPS/FedEx didn’t want to sit on millions of shipments. It might disrupt their already insane volume of packages getting to their destination on time. I see a lot of people going off past years as an indicator for what’s to come, I get that, but I would not be shocked if we see early deliveries.
6. Like all of you, I am hoping for Wednesday, planning on Friday. I enjoy following these threads so a part of me does not mind waiting for Friday. I’ll be getting the Max as well so I have a months worth of anticipation. (Or anxiety 😵)

Yes. It will remain PFS until Thursday, of which you’ll then get ”Shipped” and the official tracking information from Apple.
Not that it means anything but the press embargo on the iPhone 12 ends on Tuesday so that happens to be the day before the estimated Wednesday deliveries, coincidence? 
I’ve bought my last couple of iPhones in-store, but I remember I tracked my 5S coming from Germany when I preordered from Apple.
Why is it different now?
I was one of many (I think) that had major issues with the app/website and didn’t get my order in for 30 mins after preorder opening. 10/30 delivery date, has anyone had any early updates or shipped notifications? Is there any chance of it coming early or even on launch day or should I pretty much just count on the 30th and nothing better?

Sadly yes, embargo lifts Tuesday every year.Not that it means anything but the press embargo on the iPhone 12 ends on Tuesday so that happens to be the day before the estimated Wednesday deliveries, coincidence?
UPS and Apple have contracts worth millions that explicitly state delivery on the official release date and no earlier.
You can still track now with reference numbers and whatnot, but Apple doesn’t usually change the status to “shipped” until a day before.
I haven’t received a tracking number, just an order number from Apple. I don’t even know who’s delivering it
