You know what would be fun? Seriously:
One year, we all plan a vacation in, say, Las Vegas. For a few days leading up to delivery. Stay at the same hotel and have the phones delivered there. So we party for a couple days with drinks and shrimp (?), swimming, dancing, whatever. Then we all get our phones together on Day1. Big blowout party that day, nurse the hangover the following day then head home the next.

Damn passport checks taking forever. Those two salty dudes in here earlier must be taking their sweet time getting their passport out just to make sure our early delivery doesn’t happen.
No, their passes were fake. They have the secret service over there slowing stuff up...lol

Don't recall exactly where the request to "hold at UPS" is, but make sure you only select the CC for same day pickup of the delivery. Selecting a UPS Store, or other locations, is just like waiting for it to be delivered to your home but then you have to get to that location and hope they are still open.
I have picked up at the CC for about 5 years in a row now and it has been an easy mid-morning drive to a very calm location and then I drive back home with the phone about 6 hours before it would have been delivered on my street. Occasionally I have driven to the Apple Store on the way home just to see how things are going, but I'll skip that this year unless I can find an accessory in the store for pickup that morning that is not shipping for a few weeks.
If you are waiting on a phone for several weeks before scheduled delivery, definitely check on availability in your Apple Store. I got Series 6 Watch on first day while I had my original order expected to deliver some 10 days out.

I’ve never understood why they never do a ProductRed in the high end phone. It’d be so much easier to find in the car when I drop it between the seat and the center hump! 😬I got the red watch and was hoping a red pro would follow but nope
